I'm officially old, seems like yesterday watching these races with these names. Moore (RIP) , Michael, Paul, Zanard. Multiple engines and chassis. What a great time.
I really wish IndyCar would race here again. They still run the Aussie V8 SuperCars annually, if the track is already there, why not?
The circuit has been significantly shortened since the final IndyCar race. The track that the SuperCar's race on is a shadow of the original layout.
The shortened layout means it could be 100 laps
Adelaide would be great too.
Money is the problem, if it isn't they would race there
Great radio comm in this race....Thanks NTT Indycar.
First indycar race I watched. Start of a lifelong love of the sport.
Sufers Paradise 🏄♀️ great stuff, fantastic place to have a race. Be great to see indycar series back here. Ganassi Target car looks amazing.
Please more of this races of this golden era of indy car ❤🎉 it is like beeing a kid again. i loved to watch it here in my location via eurosport. my first race I watched the full distance was homestead season opener in 1997 with the old style homestead oval which was like indianapolis style, but 1.5mi 😊 liked the swift chassis 🎉
These Cart Cars are far more beautiful then the nowadays cars. The new cars look like right out of matchbox toy factory
I would to see IndyCar race on the Gold Coast street circuit again one day, I really want to see more international rounds again and hope one day IndyCar would a have a round in New Zealand at either Hampton Downs or Highlands International Motorsport Park
That was amazing down under in Australia🇦🇺🏎🏁
RIP to all the drivers in this race no longer with us........
50:38 very sad to see Jeff Krosnoff here knowing what's to come later in the season (he was killed-as well as a course worker- in a terrible crash where he got flipped up into the fence in Toronto.) Seemed like one of the truly nice guys on the grid and a very talented driver who always gave 110% trying to get that Toyota program off the ground. And of course if open wheel cars then had the head-protecting safety tech they do now (halos/aeroscreens) he'd almost certainly have survived. RIP, JK.
Back when ABC/ESPN cared about auto racing.
Gosh i remember yhis race like it was yesterday. I was 11 years old. Crazy!
