I cannot tell you how much the retinol sandwich helps! I have seen a dramatic improvement in the texture of my skin. The laroche posay double face moisturizer is amazing and I can’t believe I had never tried vanicream before. The face wash feels nice.

I started this routine on me and my son about 6 weeks ago and it WORKS! My son has acne and his skin is clearing, tone is evening out and the acne scars are fading. We started every 3rd day and now it's every other day. Neither one of us have had the dryness, flaking, redness, etc. from using a retinoid. I had used retinol for years before starting Differin, so my skin was used to Vitamin A. However, my son was brand new and I was concerned. Thankfully, following these instructions have helped us both transition to Differin and get great results.
After 4 weeks I added glycolic acid and Vitamin C back to my routine. I have used Serious Skincare Vitamin A, C and Glycolic products for over a decade. So, I was fairly confident that I wouldn't have a reaction, and I didn't. For the nights I use Differin I use Cerave Moisturizing Cleanser & Cerave Moisturizing Cream. I keep it basic and it is working. Thanks for sharing this info because it has helped us a lot - especially our teenage son :)

@@NomfundoV8 Hi! I think it was about 3-4 weeks in I started every other day. My skin got used to it pretty quickly and I didn't have any redness or flaking. My skin felt a little sensitive to the touch when I first increased it, but I really amped up my skin barrier care and I've been fine. I'm still every other day, but mainly because I forget or want to try another active at night instead. I like to alternate Differin and then a glycolic acid or extra nourishing skin barrier products. I hope that's helpful :) Have a great day!

I love adapalene. I haven't had acne for 20 years, but I just started using this product for anti-aging (or more importantly for slowing the signs of aging). After I knew I could easily tolerate Differin, I went on to Retin-A 0.025, then 0.05%, which I will use for 1 year to get my skin to the level I want it to be, and then I will go back to the Differin to maintain the results. I wish I would have started this at least 20 years ago. My skin looks good (because I have consistently used sunsreen for 40 years), but this has bumped my game, and this is SOOOOO affordable.

They both get you places, one just gets you alot further and alot faster. I would even reccomend people just opt for the tretinoin route, it's 30-40 dollars a month, but worth every penny. differin works on different receptors than tretinoin, designed mostly with acne in mind. Tretinoin is alot more aggressive. Just my opinion on it, but it'll take 6-7 months for either of these to give you a result. May aswell use the one that will give you the best result in my opinion.

Thank you so much for this video. I tried this product quite a while ago and it just dried my skin out terribly and I've been trying to introduce it more slowly to my skincare routine. After watching this I thought this is brilliant I'm going to try this and I am certain it will work for me. The problem things like this and vitamin C and acids is they dry my skin out terribly and it's difficult for me to add them to my skincare routine. Thank you for this instruction

    Very nicely explained 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Seemed like I’m sitting in a class and listening to your lecture
    Good info
To this day I was under this impression that one can use VITAMIN C in the morning and RETINOL at night but nobody mentioned it’s only for those people whose skin has tolerated the retinol very well
What I understand is you mentioned one uses DIFFERIN for 12 weeks consistently using few nights a week and once the skin is used too then we have to add any other treatment like adding VITAMIN C
AND one should not use HYALURONIC ACID moisturizer or serum with DIFFERIN
For MATURE SKIN what ingredients one should look in moisturizer for morning when using retinol also if a person has pigmentation cheaper options
You also mentioned that one should not use any acids like salyclic acid or any other in the beginning otherwise it will cause irritation one should only use gentle cleanser
Can one use cleansers like CERAVE that has ceramides in it
One has to double cleanse even when we have sunscreen so which oil based cleaner one should use budget friendly or drugstore

I have question I don't have acne but i am 47, and do have some aging, and I am not new to retinol, and have been thinking about trying this for fine lines, and wrinkles would this be a good option. Or would you recommend something else affordable? I also have sensitive skin.
