Try putting the plastic drain tool in the neck of a wine bottle and push the whole bottle upwards to drain the oil out of the filter housing. Toyota techs typically dont use the drain they just unscrew the filter housing part way and let it drain.
Steven Sevek thanks. The SAE specs are: The oil pan drain plug is 30 ft lbs, the oil filter cap is 18 ft lbs, and the oil filter cap drain plug is 10 ft lbs.
They say a good mechanic is determined by how steady they pour oil without spilling. Good video!

Oil filter cap = 25 N•m ± 5 N•m
Oil filter cap drainbolt = 12.5 N•m ± 2.5 N•m
