Hi, Michael! You are a real cool musician! Classic gas is a very difficult song. But you played it well. Thank you for telling the story about the classic gas. And you said that you selected the song to be as similar as possible to the original, but didn't anyone write it down in the notes? And I didn't understand, was this your personal concert or did Tommy ask me to substitute? I also wanted to say that you are a very kind person, responsive! There is little kindness in people now. 🙂
All the orchestra parts were scored, maybe the guitar too, but I learn faster ‘by ear’. This was an event that Tommy was booked to play, but for some reason he couldn’t do it, and recommended me to the organisers.
Wonderful performance. It must be difficult to, as you put it, "unlearn" and then relearn a new arrangement and not have the potential to make a cross over during a performance. I have heard Tommy in an interview comment that you have done all the work before you go on stage and it's all in muscle memory, that's something I can only dream about. Regards Dennis.
Hi Michael, I remember you talking about this gig when you were playing in my house in 2013 and that yu were more nervous playing for 25 people. Also I know where Darling Harbour is.... I was there in 1990. You are looking well... hope to see you soon ! Groeten uit Vlaardingen... Bart
