I was definitely looking up all of the cards in the alst videos! Thx for adding what packs they come from. Great content as always - hyped for the Iron Man.

These are infinitely more helpful now that I actually am starting to memorize aspect cards and getting a better grip of the various strategies this game has
Def gonna revisit Capt Marvel now that you’ve shown me the combo potential!!!

Woot! Thanks. Carol is a beast. I have been trying to slow down when talking and read more of the cards but the northerner in me just wants to talk 1000 words / minute :p

I have probably logged in more games with Captain Marvel than any other core character. And probably more than any character save for Captain America for that matter. And even now I'm amazed at how much I enjoy playing with her.
I didn't expect to like her as much as I do.
And for all the reasons you mentioned. She's super combo wombo, with a boat load of card draw. She never really has extra cards, because she can almost always draw enough to pay for everything. It's not uncommon to do 20+ damage in a turn with her, which really helps on those stage 3 villians where you don't want to let them stick around till the villian phase.
I think my favorite aspect for her is Leadership. The extra card draw, avengers swarm, and make the call for Spider Woman, all play right into her style. Agression is a close 2nd, due to her crazy rush down capabilities. She's also good in the boot camp builds, and her energy resource synergy, makes cards like wasp and relentless assault really consistent.
She is good in justice as well, but I think there are heros better suited to bring to the table for the thwarting role in multiplayer. And protection just feels like a lot of set up with her. As you can get her to a 4 defense that takes little damage, it doesn't seem like the payoff is worth the effort ultimately. Especially when you know she could have already finished the game and played again in another aspect. Lol. But that's just my opinion.
Good video as always. Can't wait for Iron Man.

I just love this type of content, analyzing and giving insights on every hero and aspect. Fantastic idea for people not having so much time to spend on deckbuilding and playtesting like me! It just miss one thing in my opinion to make it perfect: I would really love to see a link in the description or at the end of the video to a couple of different aspect decks (old or new ones, it doesn't matter) that in your opinion fit best the hero, the theme and the fun. Cheers from Italy, keep up the good work!

She is still one of my favorites to play. I feel like she is easy to learn, but has a high skill cap, which is perfect for a starter box character. After new cards come out I often reach for her to see what new combos I can make.

Carol Danvers is my first Marvel Champions love, been playing her since the core set. She is my benchmark hero for pushing the games limits, and I've been able to get through tons of heroic 1 / standard II villains with her. She is just powerful and interesting to play. Whenever I'm playing a character that can't hang with the villains on harder difficulties I put Captain Marvel on the table and almost always get justice for their misdeeds :D

She's so strong - definitely a good character to benchmark power creep against

I mostly agree but I feel a good chunk of Cap. Ms strength is her resilience. She has good hp and recovery plus essentially free healing. She does hate defending and can be burst down but long-term has one of the highest HP pools. Certainly for cost, especially given her great economy. (Thor must take a turn off to deploy his hat, while she hardly notices playing Endurance, and paying to heal is an upside!.)
Her aspect viability is great and so different to say Ironman while she can make any aspect the Star, any Ironman deck is ultimately going to do the same things.
No doubt this will come it in the fun rankings. The other numbers are pretty moot. If you put a 5 fun hero like her against a 1 fun hero like Ironman I know which one I'd take every time!

Love Captain Marvel, and love to use her in multiplayer to support other players and protect them with allies.

For sure. Captain Marvel has a really cool spot as a supporting player that can still pull her space in damage!

It's actually great timing you made this video. A few days ago I actually revisited Captain Marvel with my roommate with Justice. Having shield on her alter ego makes the deck much more explosive in my opinion. It's also amazing with meditation as well if you don't see your energy absorptions early on and get your set ups still fast. I want to call the deck , Carol gets grounded as she doesn't want to really flip to hero mode in multi-player due to homeland intervention that allows you to thwart in alter ego. Keeping the threat low and able to constantly support other players with her commander ability.

Meditation is a really good call. You are extra likely to draw into it and something good with commander etc

@@MCM_Podcast It really was. The only downside to the deck is that it's made exclusively for multi-player more or less. I did play a solo game with it against Rhino. I won but it took almost two hours. The damage just wasn't there haha.
