I’ve been very outspoken about her, but I do believe she deserves an S-tier rank, very similar to how Venom does. They aren’t fundamentally broken heroes like Strange or Ham, but are so flexible and strong in all of their aspects they can have just as easy of a time covering all bases. An undervalued thing about X-23’s flexibility is because she’s built to use basic activations a lot it’s very rare to have a bad hand. Because you’re inherently so good at handling any situation you don’t have to play situational cards, so you get away from those hands full of thwart cards with no threat to clear and stuff. It keeps her tempo super high. Also it’s funny to see Leadership last, in my testing I feel like it’s potentially her best. I think when you think Leadershit we often think allies first, but you do have a lot of hero boosting cards too. Morale Boost has been so good for me with her, it’s kind of like copies 4-6 of Claw Mastery (less powerful at attacking but great flexibility), and things like R&D Facility are great for X-23 as well.
She is very very good and once we get up to where she has ranked a good player can make almost any of the top 10 heroes feel like the best in the game! I do think that as we get more and more cards that support a basic activation (either additions to stats, or needing to exhaust with all her readies) she will just continue to get better and better Thanks for all the help with her!
As with Deadpool, i think the community aspect is heavily biased towards the precon aspect. I dont have a lot to say, as i pretty much agree with everything. Good job X23 is right up my alley with favorite type of hero. I haven't been playing a tonne lately but I really need to rectify that and play her more.
I played Protection and Justice with X-23. Nelson’s so right! Every aspect with her is good and incredibly difficult to rank. Justice is right up there with Aggression. I recommend using Daredevil and Jessica Jones. They can relieve threat (deal 1 damage after THW w/ DD). Toss in Lay Down The Law, For Justice! and Crisis Averted (for emergency use, especially in Expert mode). All these Justice cards handle threat, while X-23 and Honey deal damage
For healing factors in her deck while using aggression aspect, I added Moment of Truth. 0 cost. You can get great excess damage defeating a low HP minion. This card can save you a possible form change and exhaust for REC.

Her puncher wound made me lose a game against Stryfe. It was attached to him and the attachment came out that attaches to Hope Summers and deals equal damage to her. So my turn started and she was dealt 3 damage
That sounds really cool! A bit tough in solo since X23 herself doesnt have the Xmen trait, but if you are playing multiplyer you can get them into the game with an Honorary card!
I actually used her without Repurpose, but I absolutely loved her in Protection. I used Leading Blow and Counter-Punch as well, also a bit more focus on Honey Badger, giving her Protective Training and Game Time. She became my top 5 favorite hero insanely quickly! I also tried her in leadership, using Danger Room Training, Team Training and Game Time with Honey Badger, and bringing her back with Make the Call and Pixie. R&D Facility is also a good option for X-23 because of how much I can ready her. I prefer Protection slightly more, but I had great success with both builds against fairly challenging setups!
Anybody know where I can get a quantity 3 of 'What Doesn't Kill Me' (Protection aspect card)? Crazy Jackalope has single cards galore, but not this or Repurpose (Protection)
What doesnt kill me comes from Sinister Motives and Repurpose is from SP//DR Crazy Jackalope is the only place I know of (outside of buying the packs themselves) which sells singles - Good luck!
@@NelsonAllOverCards thanks, Nelson. I’m finding using a 43-45 count deck allows for not only more, but a chance to grab a similar card you may have had to use as a discard or resource for payment. I think a slightly larger deck helps more than hurts. 3-5 additional cards doesn’t hinder a deck by much % at all.
Got this deck today. Regarding Boom Boom. Can I exhaust her and add 1 counter EACH player phase, so multiple times? Example: I don’t use her ATK or THW, taking no consequential damage because of non-use of basic moves and I don’t defend with her, then build up 3-5 counters. Can this be done in clean play?
@@NelsonAllOverCards Nervous Nelly, I am. For 100% clarity… example: I have 3 BOOM counters on her and there are 3 minions in play/engaged. B.B. can discard, then deal 3 damage to each minion and 3 damage to the villain (all enemies)?
@@jerpanic1 yep! You do get to always add a counter though! So if you have 3 counters you can exhaust, add a fourth, then boom boom 4 damage to everything!
Just a note, Grim Resolve and Clarity Of Purpose are not Actions, so you can use them during the Villain's phase if needed also.

Oh thats interesting! Do you find it is needed even after Pain Tolerance comes out?
As a Nube, I’m experimenting. I’m still losing matches, then realizing I won or could’ve. Deck building is helping with experimenting.
Klaw is the curse of my play. His level of minions is nasty and overwhelming. However, X-23’s piercing card helps immensely with his minion guards

Honey badger being an xmen can benefit from any xmen cards.
To me my xmen/uncanny xmen/xmen instruction/ ready with prof x/cerebro. Etc

So, if taking damage from Claws cannot be avoid with Tough, do I loose Tough or it stays?
You lose the Tough but don't get the benefit of the Claws because there was no damage.
