What is the point of the dr holding moms hand?

Dr. Jeff utilizes Applied Kinesiology (AK) as one of his techniques. In short, one of the big points in AK is muscle testing. This allows/tells the doctor what muscle is "weak or strong". The point of Dr. Jeff holding the mother's hand is surrogate testing. In the video you can see Dr. Jeff poking around on certain areas/muscles on the baby. With the mother holding the baby's hand, Dr. Jeff is able to see if the muscle goes "weak" by the mother's arm dropping rather than being straight. This allows the doctor to muscle test the baby, without the baby having to do the work of holding up its arm up in a straight position.
