Thanks for that observation with which I totally agree. It got so tiresome watching Barbra getting asked about her nose, being controlling, etc. Here she was allowed to exhibit her intelligence, commitment to human rights, character, and convictions.

It's so beautiful to see someone like Barbra who's done it all and has been successful with it all and has nothing to prove and is just a gracious beautiful humble woman doing whatever she can to make the world a better place! Barbra's so cool.

That moment where she says, "I don't remember the good stuff as much as the bad, all the articles..". It's amazing to me that such an iconic national treasure still feels that sting from the negative people, just like the rest of us. We never stop being completely human, do we? This was really interesting to watch, two of my favorite voices together!

So sad. Shes so successful...I mean that's an understatement. But shes a self proclaimed perfectionist. So the critics are like neon marquis in her brain. Seems like a little therapy would help her w that. #barbra4eva

@@justinm2697 What you don't understand is her background. She grew up in rather poor family in Brooklyn. It's not so easy to remove the past from your brain. That's why I believe her. She has always been rather insecure, didn't perform for many years because of her stage fright and so on. Don't judge so easily.

She's a good example of how fake all you leftists are. She's so concerned about children being separated from their families except, of course, when Obama and the Clintons were doing it. She's a far left liberal, so politics always comes before decency, humanity, and caring for others. Not one of you fake liberals ever once cared about the children when Obama was throwing them in cages. You only pretended to care after President Trump took over, and then used photos that were taken when Obama was in the White House for the sole purpose of getting rid of President Trump. President Trump is in her head all of the time because she's a very hateful individual who's also extremely narcissistic. Conservatives don't behave like this because we're not mentally unstable, unlike YOU. Nearly all leftists are sick individuals.

@E W First, abortions don't matter at all. Abortions are carried out by people of all political spectrums. It is a health and life-style/well-being choice, not a political one. Some women can't physically have children because they will die, some are rape victims, victims of incest, and others can't afford a baby and the mental or financial tole that having a child would impart. That's why I don't understand those pro-life idiots because they aren't thinking of the situation in which the child was conceived or the mother, nor are they thinking of the life the child will grow up in. Do you honestly think that it's better that a child grow up in a home where their parents can't afford to take care of them properly and didn't want them in the first place? Or in an adoption home where they may never get picked and in the back of their minds always wondering "why didn't my real parents love me enough to keep me? Why didn't they want me?" You're a complete piece of shit if you say anything but no.
Second, socialism hasn't killed anybody, in fact, every country in the world has socialist practices. In the US, we have Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, all of which are socialist services. Other countries have free colleges and free healthcare paid by tax money, we're one of the only countries that don't have it and we suffer immensely for it, with much higher health care costs and an overall worse population health. We also have people that are in mountains of debt that will take them most of their lives to pay back. It isn't right. I'd gladly pay slightly higher taxes for those services. You're being deceived by whatever state-run nonsense you've been watching. Try to see things from a different perspective and look at things with an open your mind. Also, look for new sources of information because everything you said was factually wrong.

When I'm kind I get treated like there's something wrong w/me; some ppl make you feel stupid for being so kind; I can't be something I'm not. It's was the way of the 'community' you lived in back in the '50's....

Barbra "The Great" Streisand I love you Barbra you helped me get through my abusive childhood.... Unfortunately we have similar childhoods....... My mother died when I was 6 years old and I was left to a very selfish man "my father"..... He also got married without telling me when I was 7 years old.... The person he married was a vicious woman who only cared about herself..... Thank God for your God given talent you touched my heart.......... You look fantastic I wish you love health and happiness All the best!

You know what brings empathy and expands a person's perspective on the world? Travel.
I have found that the more you engage with people, not necessarily in foreign countries, but even within your own borders, that to experience life living among people who are different from you, you can learn and understand far greater than just by watching something on TV, or seeing it in photos.
My perspective was forever changed when I traveled, changing my outlook on wealth and poverty, necessities and wants, the extraneous and the essential, and the core values of those who you got to meet and learn from.
The people who I find are the most close-minded are those who have never had those experiences for themselves. They stay close to home, they find their niche and strengthen bonds within their own corner of the community, and while it's great to have such bonds, it's too narrow in scope, and it blocks them from truly gaining empathy for other people. Especially if their only encounters with various groups and ethnicities are negative experiences.
I always urge people to take advantage of traveling more. And not just to go to some resort with sand and beaches, or to stay holed up in a hotel in a city where you speak the language. Go to the open air markets, use their public transportation, visit more parklands, get off the beaten track and find some real hidden gems where the tourists don't go, and I promise you, if you show the slightest inclination to be friendly with them, the locals won't turn you away. It has opened my eyes to how other people live, and discovered how much more you have in common than what drives us apart. You can even go to the next city over, or across the border to the next state and come across people you never knew existed. This direct interaction can be incredibly instructive, and it's something that all people should try to do more than once in their lives. Get out there, and see what's really going on. Open yourself up to new people, ditch some of your habits and routines from home, and really embrace the culture of the place you're in, instead of trying to make it conform to what you're accustomed to. You really will gain a whole new appreciation for what you have, and maybe even desire for changes you saw when you were away.

lol I do the exact same thing Barbara! I eat my "So Delicious dairy-free ice cream" and I play mah jong, cross stitch, and other games to make myself go to sleep. I also put on the youtube channels that have 24 hour live "sleep relaxing music" or the calming music for dogs or children, which my dogs LOVE and so do I. Then I drift to sleep and am able to wake up and tackle the day in the morning. She would love my new favorite ice cream "So-Delicious dairy-free COFFEE" which tastes like real coffee and has caffeine in it so it gives a nice kick in the morning to wake up.

I only recently discovered ice cream again, within the last year, as I can't eat dairy. But they have so many wonderful new types out now that are made with almond, cashew, coconut, and taste exactly the same but better and I can eat a lot of it and not get sick! Anyway that's why I just rambled about that when I heard her mention ice cream and games to help fall asleep at night during these insane times where down is up and up is down.
