I think it indicates that when he saw the ship take off, it was something completely outside the norm that changed his perspective forever. His eyes have been opened and he's no longer distracted by the bureaucratic busywork he's always been so focused on. He feels guilty that he didn't pay more attention to his son, leading to him getting trapped on the ship, so now he's going to make up for it. He's beginning to sense that the people in power on his planet don't have a solution for getting his son back, so one way or another he's going to take matters into his own hands to find him and get him back home safely.
I feel this is the closes we will get to a live action of Disney's Treasure Planet. The Kids are Jim Hawkins. Jude Law is John Silver and At Attin is Treasure Planet
I have a theory: AT-Attin has been closed off since before the clone wars. That’s why they have old republic pristine condition. When they ask about what war it’s not assuming the war from the og trilogy but they don’t even know about the clone wars. Whatcha think?
i was thinking the exact same thing. i don't think they are censuring anything from children or society in general, i believe they literally have no knowledge of any events since the end of old republic/beginning of high republic. no off-planet contact in hundreds (if not thousand) of years
@@cadendicky1855 could be a situation where at attin was instructed by an old or high republic gov to continue with certain programmes until further notice. They were then forgotten about due to some form of conflict, at which point at attin and the other 8 planets were classified as lost or destroyed. So at attin has continued with said mission ever since
I thought Neil was quick thinking in flipping his bowl too. One upside down bowl looks suspicious; two upside down bowls looks like something kids do... or At Attin manners!
KRIFFING HELL, THAT WAS fast, just finished it and I am more curious who Jod really is. The fact that space owls are now canon is both amazing and beautiful. Also, the moon shot of the group walking is now engraved in my mind, and it is beautiful. The zoom in dolly shot to Wim's dad really tells us that he does know a lot more than he seems to offer.
The period that At Attin comes from has to be the High Republic. The Old Republic isn’t necessarily referred to as just “The Republic” but rather “The Galactic Republic” whereas T.H.R has itself usually referred to as “The Republic” since it directly leads into the Prequel-era where it again is most often referred to as “The Republic”
No it isn’t. If they had 30 year old mint condition credits they wouldn’t be that valuable but thousands of year old credits would be so it is from the old republic at least a thousand years ago
i love neel just as much as you do. i find myself putting my hand on my cheek when i think "oh neel" especially when he was snoring. also notice how the bottom of that scroll looks like the mural in fern's home. nvm, you just said it.. but i wonder if those 5 planets have to do with the people in the mural.
No one is referencing Treasure Island and Disneys Treasure Planet. Jod Silvo being close to “John Silver”, At Attin is the “lost treasure planet”, SM-33 could be like B.E.N. Whose memory was takin and houses a map to At Attin or his memory was takin to hide what the planet is hiding.
Jod is acting the same way to the kids as John did to Jim. At Attin doesn’t know the war between the rebels and empire has ended. They are working hard to keep the planet safe from pirates or from the empire. The “riches” it hides could be the kids from being taken to be used as storm troopers. SM-33 crashed with “Billy bones” type character who took his “memory” away or shot it out of him to hide what they brought to the planet. Just some theories.
Wim is the kid that loves being a kid, very gullible and very adventurous Neel is the kid who backs they buddy up with any crazy adventures they have in mind (wim), very loyal but also very aware of trouble Fern is the kid who is rebellious, stubborn hardheaded can't tell them nothing, loves to be in control and hates when they aren't (this episode for an example) KB is the kid who is the most aware of everything, very thoughtful thinking, the one who's friends with the rebel (fern) that keeps them balance by showing them how to be nice and have a heart for others
I swear since episode 2 they time traveled. Episode 3 and it’s break down convinces even more that they traveled into the future by messing with the hyperdrive.
You didn't mention that Brutus put a bounty out for the Skelton Crew I wonder who will come after it? Cad Bane is supposedly dead, Boba Fett doesn't go for bounties anymore, Would Din Djarrin do it?
Does this depend on when it takes place? I thought Dinn was just chilling with Grogu for a while, does he collect bounties anymore? Unless this takes place before then, idk, I think it would be too much to bring him in, leave Dinn out this one
I doubt this is right but it's a theory. When the kids are shown the plants on the map about plants the old republic want to hide. Would one of them be tannalor from jedi survivor?
I don't think anyone knows anything about the rest of the galaxy or even what has happened. They probably don't even know about the fall of the Republic or the Empire or destruction of the Jedi.
SM-33 repeating "Can't say I remember no At Attin." and saying the kids are "definetly from somewhere" even tho he knows they're from At Attin made me think that it might have been programmed not to talk about At Attin.. Or that they really should repair him to access his full memory...
Is it just me? Or did that entire scene with Khy'mm resemble the observatory/Orrery scene in the Dark Crystal? It even had the 'baddies' come break the scene at the end
SM-33 doesn’t say he doesn’t remember At Attin. He says he can’t say he remembers. I think he does remember but has a block that makes it so he can’t say it.
Any time I hear “crimson” mentioned in Star Wars, I immediately think Sith. I have a feeling he’s gonna be connected to the Knights of Ren in some way.
I'd be curious to know if Jude Laws character could originate from the planet Aq Vetina, the same as Din Djarin and could explain his issue with droids similar to how Din felt in season 1 of Mandalorian.
Getting the sense that this dates back to the genuine Old Republic and they’ve skipped the High Republic altogether on that planet. Atlantis style. “Old” and “high” only exist in retrospect. They’ve been hidden away and for them it’s still just the Republic.
You can't normally sense droids through the Force. Fern wouldn't know that of course but I like to think that's one of those kid "burns" that isn't as insulting or hurtful as they think it is when they say it.
Apparently the planet wasn't know as At Attin when SM-33 was on it. Surely he would mention searching for a treasure planet before he was deactivated. Interesting
~22 min, background noise from Star Trek TOS, various eps but notably the Nomad probe noise as it floats down corodors. Also 9 planets, the 9 rhelms in Thor/Norse mythology.
Dr. Evizon in canon is a really fucked up character. He and the other dude kidnap people to turn them into the Star wars equivalent of servitors called de-craniated.
I'm getting a sense the wolf character is working for someone higher than he is I see him being 2nd in command but I'm seeing a plot twist maybe he is working for Hondo Ohnaka or Cad Bane I still think Cad Bane is still alive from the book of Boba Fett.
I was talking with one of my coworkers about At Attin and we are thinking that the planet is like a Fallout Vault so possible social experiment and or the planet has a different name.
So about the scroll: props department oops or cunningly encrypted message? The world may never know, but my credits are that even if the former LF will find a way to shoehorn it into the later.
I loved this episode. Channels the feelings and vibes of Star Wars without cashing in on nostalgia cheaply.
Such a great episode holy smokes.
It's amazing how fast they make these. I legit just finished watching this
I think they had access to the first 3 episodes or so? No way they did this whole video within 1 hour of the episode finishing lol.
@hotsauce3654 yeah that's possible. I'm not sure if they had that or not. If they did that makes sense though
I’m pretty sure they had early access to the episodes
I don't wanna break the illusion or whoooosh myself they usually get the first 3-4 episodes early for press
They said they got access to the first 3 episodes in a recent video
The magnets remark could be a nod to the false Jedi, Haja Estree, Kumail Nanjiani’s character from “Obi-Wan Kenobi”.
Huh, that would make sense.
The moon shot is also reminiscent of the "moon rise" scene in Spielberg's A.I., which also featured Jude Law.
Delightful! A word I never use. This is what Star Wars needed. So full of Charm.
"the name's Kim with a Y, but not where you thiiiiink"
😂😂😂😂
You win the internet for the day!
Nice 😆
😂😂😂😂
Khymm
Kh’ymm is giving some serious Neverending Story/Dark Crystal/Labyrinth vibes. And I’m here for it!
yeah i totally got that vibe too with the rotating dome/observatory
She’s another cooption of Bubo from Greek mythology.
Legit just finished the episode

I'm all for it. It's kinda like a reverse of Treasure Planet, where they were already on the planet of treasure and need to get back to it.
I'm thinking "Crimson Jack" is a Dread Pirate Roberts kind of thing.
“No one would surrender to Crimson Jod!”
@ 24:48 He refers to the X-wings as "The Goons!"

The question is though, why are they so isolated? Outside of supposed rich mineral deposits and valuable credits.

There was a Pelta-class Frigate at the Pirate base. It's a ship from the Star Wars Armada game.
Originally from the Clone Wars but it also made a brief appearance in Rebels
My theory that the treasure at the center of attain is ciber crystals something that would be desired by many in the galexy would want their hands on
Nah. They are going to open the vault and find nothing...then someone will say; the real treasure is Hope
Ciber? You mean Kyber...and no.
18:30 Adorable! 🐘
I like how they have older writing systems, like they should.
I think the life monitors are normal in Star Wars cuz the Towani family have them in Caravan of Courage

7:22 It's hard to see in that shot- but dude on the far left is sweeping --- while holding NOTHING.
the shot of them walking across the moon also has a peter pan and the lost boys vibe to it.
Neel’s snore is a higher pitch version of the noise Hooter makes in Captain EO.
I love this more and more just as I did with Agatha
I swear since episode 2 they time traveled. Episode 3 and it’s break down convinces even more that they traveled into the future by messing with the hyperdrive.
This episode was so fun
The planet in the background looks like the scene in Peter Pan during the song Following the Leader. It reminded me of that 100%.
Very interested to learn why their planet was hidden and by whom.
Great video, Loving the Skeleton Crew, the most excited I’ve felt about star wars in the Disney era !
the notion that they kept entire worlds hidden away means more of them may have survived thru the civil wars
SM-33’s second “aye” is probably my favorite moment in Star Wars ever 😅
The episode was fun
I think your obsession w Neil is like George Costanza. “Does Neil like to eat a big breakfast?”
Another amazing video
I got Lion King from the silhouette shot..
Great work on this episode...
Was cool when the big cord snapped off and destroyed the docking bay😅🙌💪💯

Holy obscure Seinfeld reference with Elaine's Queen Victoria wedding cake, lol
Im just glad they kept SM33 on board. I'd sleep well at night knowing that Droid has my back.
Hear me out, the pirates put a bounty on his head... Madno and Grogu finished season 3 becoming bounty hunters... 👀
There was also a Pelta frigate in the docks as well that no one seems to have noticed
How are you guys so quick! Appreciate all the work you do!
