Normalized Difference Vegetation Index or NDVI quantifies the amount of green vegetation using the reflectance of near-infrared and red light wavelengths.
In this video, I'll create an NDVI map using ArcGIS Pro. Based on the NDVI values, I will also assess whether or not the values indicate vegetation, barren areas, or water bodies.
My professor isn't the best at explaining. And you, friend, helped me get my bachelor's degree. Thank you. ❤️ a small upload for you, but a huge leap all thanks to you.
Happy to help out!
thank you
what do you mean by the threshold in identifying areas with specific vegetation density?
Here's an example of what I mean by that:
-High NDVI values (0.6 to 1.0) is dense vegetation.
-Medium NDVI values (0.2 to 0.6) is sparse vegetation.
-Low NDVI values (-1 to 0.2) might be barren land, water, or areas with no vegetation.
Shouldnt u reclassify if the values are not between -1 and 1?
Shouldn't be a problem when using scientific output
