Good video, I have a couple of questions for you regarding my use case, as I'm trying to make the decision to switch from Android to iPhone. I have a camper van with a projector in it I want to play downloaded video files on and have the music come out of my van sound system. 1. You can transfer large video files to an iPhone to play, correct? (seems like a dumb question) 2. When using the HDMI video output, can you make the audio go through Bluetooth rather than the HDMI? (I want the sound to play on my van sound system, not the tiny projector speaker)
Don’t buy this cable. Buy a strong one. These cables don’t last longer than one year. I had already three in two years. I really took care of the last one and did not twist it or pull on it at all. Very frustrating in view of the fact that one costs 50€.
Yes I bought one to play call of duty and it lasted about a month before it started glitching on the screen so I bought another one and it did the same thing. It gets so hot it singed the teeth on the connected cable and never got a clear picture from then on
Really useful video. I just found a 30 pin to hdmi adapter in the garage and had no idea what I’d bought it for. We have an old iPad 2 and some iPods knocking about that the kids use, this might make things easier than all of them huddling around one device!
Hi, I am exploring the possibility of using this lightning to hdmi adapter to live stream from iphone camera app. Can the mirrored image be orientated to landscape so that the live stream via the projector can be full screen?
Hi - yes, it can. I actually use it to film some stuff using the camera app, and I just rotate my phone sideways and it goes full screen landscape mode when I do that, on my monitor.

Need help! I set up exactly the same way with my iPhone, lighting and HDMI adapter and my new portable monitor. They synced and I can see the iPhone screen on the monitor. Only problem is that when I tried to watch TH-cam, I see error and I cannot run a TH-cam video. When I unhook my iPhone with the adapter, TH-cam video works. For some reason connecting my iPhone with the adopter creates the problem to see TH-cam video. The same thing happened with my Crunchyroll anime app. Any idea why this is happening?

He says in the beginning of the video "see link to product description for capability list". He is reviewing a genuine Apple brand adapter. Generics might work with free if limited library streaming services like Kanopy and Hoopla, but I am not sure.
