    I started nail art before resin so I already had the UV & LED top coats (and a ton of other supplies lol) I still remember the first time I used them my led top coat on a resin piece that had come out matte, I was like, “can I do this? Yes I can!” 😋 they work better resin products I have tried! And no brush streaks! 🎀💜🍭

      yes, nail products are pretty useful for resin crafts. I use a lot the nail top coat to glaze my resin pieces, it comes with the brush, so handy to use 😄

      @@MiniatureSweetHK Will any nail top coat work with resin or just certain kinds? I was going to use the lighter method for bubbles, I suppose it would not be safe around nail products, aren't most of them flammable?

      @Miss Eddie Blue Can we use UV nail top coat or UV nail base coat as UV resin

    • @MissEddieBlueKawaiiKrafts
      @MissEddieBlueKawaiiKrafts 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      alex143 mason honestly I’m not sure if it can be used as resin, however I think recently I saw a nail art video where the girl did use UV nail products in a silicone mold cured them with the LED light then glued the little piece she made on her nail so I guess it works? I know for sure it works as a glaze/top coat. Maybe something thicker like a builder gel would be better? But I think resin & builder gel are around the same price. It’s super cheap on eBay & Aliexpress just search UV resin. Most of it is all made in the same factories just different companies buy it, stick their own label on & mark up the price.. I’ve used the Aliexpress & Ebay UV resin, it’s just as good as the resin from more expensive craft sites 😉

    I have the exact same molds, bought them from somewhere around a year ago. The resin always had huge gaps and bubbles after placing the lid on and I got extremely frustrated. Maybe I'll succeed with this tutorial!

      Dragon Alchemy Epoxy Resin can come in bigger sizes for cheaper. That’s great since this method wasted a lot of the resin. Plus, Epoxy Resin has a great work time of around 40 minutes which is perfect for beginners. I recommend the Seriously Creative channel for more information :)

      @@bernadettemurray8321 Ok so (for example) you need to pour out 5ml of the smaller bottle and 15ml of the bigger bottle. How ever much you pour out of the smaller bottle you need to use 3 times that amount of the bigger bottle. You can always get a plastic teaspoon and use that to help you, that's what I did when I first started out. So if you do use the teaspoon pour out 1 teaspoon of the smaller bottle then mix in 3 tsp of the bigger bottle. Hope that helps and makes sense.

      I can think of 3 things you could try. Warming the resin by putting the container in warm water to thin it, try curing it for longer or your uv torch may not be strong enough to properly cure the top coat. Hope this helps.
