just a little fun fact, if you want professional looking molds that you can sell or whatnot, you can go onto etsy and get a custom cut acrylic piece for the shape of the shaker you want, and then have them make an additional hole in the middle for how big you want the actual shaker part to be (the acrylic piece should be about 1.5in-2in depending on how deep you want your hole where you can fill it up with the shaker bits to be). For example, if i wanted a custom shaker mold in the shape of a circle, i can go onto etsy and get it custom cut and then have them make a smaller hole in the middle of the piece. You can then purchase your own silicone mold kit from amazon and make your own custom mold that way! i hope i explained it well!
I soooo needed this!! I’ve been trying to figure out how to make my own shaker molds but for the life of me I could not figure it out!! Cheers for the awesome tutorial!!
Thank you for this!! I have some shapes i need multiple of but i dont have funds to pay $18-22 for multiple of the same one so i want to make my own 💙 and now thanks to you i know how 🧡🧡🧡🧡 tysm
I've been doing this for non shaker molds for a decade but it never occurred to me to try with shakers. Thanks so much for sharing, and for being so adorable. Srsly, what even are you ♡🥰 (spoiler, you're an angel)
Using cookie cutters would work too 😊 also I do hope your channel gets more views in the future this is a very simple and easy to understand tutorial 😁
@@meetyounever6923 you could roll the clay out very thickly and cut it with cookie cutters as is and then add details, or you could do what she did and cut out 2 pieces and stack them and then add details. But the cookie cutters would give you the same constant shape for accuracy. If that makes any sense? 😅 So for instance, if you wanted to make a star you could get a cookie cutter with that shape and roll the clay out very thickly. You could even layer it at that point for a very thick foundation to work with, and then use the cutter for the shape. Then use her tutorial for the rest of the work to make the mold.
I’m glad you liked the video! For the test charm I show at the end I used a clear plastic bail from Sophie and Toffee: sophieandtoffee.com/transparent-clear-plastic-blank-bails-for-beads-60pcs/ I’m currently using these metal pendant bails for my charms: www.rings-things.com/Products/Aanraku/Aanraku-reg-White-Plated-Jewelry-Bail-Cast-Small.html?_ga=2.48711846.1048143685.1599752367-1783285680.1596902348 but you can find similar ones on Sophie and Toffee’s site as well. I’m planning on making a video on how I create the actual charm- it’ll be the video after my next one, so keep an eye out for it in the future. 😉

That's really neat! So in theory how would you place the gut and details? Would you cut them out separately and stack them?
@@meetyounever6923 what do you mean?

Aw, thank you! Yeah, cookie cutters are a great idea if you have one in a shape you like.
