    I also love CC3D. I experienced my first CC3D with the 54 USD zonda hobby esky 150x heli . 54 dollars includes the transmitter. The stability is in a whole new dimension than any old school helicopter 3 gyro control boards.

    Lee - The bits picture at 6:05 looks like my setup, but the diagram at 7:12 shows the Revo mini output leads reversed. Since tech details and pinouts from the makers are not available for many of our Chinese joytoys this introduced a bit of confusion for me. I buggered one of the original harnesses and made another, but I got it wrong by using positions. Your diagram shows correct connections by color coding, but the left-to-right orientation of the lead colors on the FC is reversed. That said, your video series have become my go-to source of study for nearly everything R/C. Sincere thanks.

    Hello how are you doing. I have Been flying quads for a while and seen where people are goint to clean flight for the cc3d. I was wondering what flight config you like better Libre or cleanflight for the cc3d FC. Be Blessed

      For CC3D then use Librepilot or TAULABS, if you want Cleanflight then get a STM32F3 based flight controller now..

    Great video. I just set up the CC3D Revolution but mine seems to drift all around. Doesn't hover. When you said you are using autolevel, how is that set up? Did you have to tweak any flight modes? Thanks for making this video. Looking forward to the GPS video.

      See the CC3D video on flight modes in the CC3D playlist. Every part of the setup we did to hover we show in the video.. I would check the RC calibration. Best of luck!

    I'm waiting on that gps vid! Always wanted Alt. hold,and RTH,but never wanted a Naza,and I'm not familiar with Multiwii ! I've never had a CC3D,but I've always had the program in my PC(1st Open Pilot 14 - 15,now Libre Pilot),just to familiarize myself with it. Hi! Nice video has always! I just finished building a zmr180 clone and my esc's say they are oneshot125 but in librepilot when choosing the esc's I cannot choose oneshot. I haven't look for an answer but can tell me what is wrong?
    When we calibrate the esc's does the program let you move on if the esc's are not calibrated? I know it sounds stupid but I didn't hear those beeps when I calibrated mine.

    Hi Painless, I really like your videos and the way you explain staff!
    I've recently purchased a FlySky FS-i6S radio with a FS-iA6B receiver and I'd need to hook it on my CC3d mounted on a KDS Kylin 250. I've now succesfully managed to connect my old hiteco ptic 6 and this new radio to the FC with PWM, but to do this I had to unsolder some bridge on the ESCs disabling the ONE Shot feature. Now that this one has the iBUS capability, I'd like to re-bridge the ESCs and connect it with the single cable, could you help me out in that? I have a servo cable and I guess I should use ONLY that, but I'm not sure whether I should connect it to the servo like port I have on the board, then to the iBus/servo port on the RX
    Thanks!

    Great video as usual! I recently purchased a 3D printer also (my wife doesn't like me watching your TH-cam channel!) and noticed your FrSky D4R-II mount looks good. Hi, Thanks for the video. May I ask a question. I crashed an SRD 260 Storm Racing Drone and wiped out the flight controller, replaced it with another CC3D controller, set it up on Libre Pilot. All the motors run, the drone has a Bind with the transmitter, the transmitter controls follow the pattern on screen, but despite setting it up a few times, the transmitter won't start the Drone! Unfortunately I don't understand most of the abbreviations for the setup. Under Flight Data, It has MASTER CAUTION. Under INPUT- RC warning. BOOT- Fault. MEM- Warning. STACK-Critical. Could you give me any ideas for this problem please? Thanks. John ( I will pick up any messages tomorrow Morning.)

    i see that you connected the 3 wires to the PPM connection on your receiver . my receiver is a small S Bus and also have 3 wires . will this work or do i need some adopter . also if i use GPS and S bus at the same time ...do they go in the same socket like in the regular big revolution board or was this solved in the mini version . thank you

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sharon Fedida check out the documentation for the CC3D and Librepilot. The Sbus connection usually needs to go into one of the ports, not the main receiver inputs. Best of luck!

      @filmstudiojapan 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scratching my head as to why I did it that way but I have been running an S-bus receiver to the sonar port for months with no issues. The official documentation shows that is should go to the mainport. My guess is all three ports on the left side will work, but it's probably best to go with the officially recommended port (Main).

    , i have one question, that i can't get an answer on.
    My problem is i have a Hexacopter, and i need more outputs. For example an discovery Buzzer or something like that.

    If it's possible, can you make a video about it.

    Hi Professor, would you recommend soldering the motors wires in the right direction, instead of flashing the ESC with motor reverse, instead? The new Rapid flash app on Google App, is pretty handy for this on SimonK, as well as the GUI for Windows on BLHeli doing so... Since I discovered the Firmwares existed for both rotations, I do not care so much on the motor wires ESC soldering, but rather ensure they are places in lines properly, and then reflash the ESCs with the correct firmware... Would you believe such practices are ok, flashing CCW firmwares on ESCs!? So far so good after a few weeks, might over heat a bit, bit not sure if it is due to trims or ESCs firmware. Tks again for you much inspiring videos. Cheers and Safe Flying!

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are options to sort out motor direction. We show the method in the video as it will work for any ESC and requires no extra steps. Happy flying!

      +FPV Cambodia
      As long as noone messed up in the blheli code, there should be no difference at all between CW and CCW rotation (it's just the output transistors switching 3-2-1 instead of 1-2-3). And you shouldn't need a separate CCW firmware. blheli lets you set the direction with the blheli suite. If you use cleanflight you can even configure the ESCs via the flightcontroller.

    • @FPVcambodia
      @FPVcambodia 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I meant you need to reflash the firmware with separate settings for SimonK; BLHeli, I do not use! A great app called "Rapid Flash" for SimonK on Google Chrome is now now available doing the same as the BlHeli Suite; and you have to reflash the firmware with CCW, but Hey, I trust this is just semantic, right?

    • @superdau
      @superdau 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      FPV Cambodia
      If I were nitpicking (I never do ;) ), I'd say it's more than semantics. With blheli you really just set an option, but don't reflash the whole firmware (much in the same way you configure your flight controller; you don't reflash it every time you want to change an option). The advantage is that if for some reason you don't have the full firmware of your ESC (because your nice chinese seller doesn't tell you which one to use or even made a custom change to it) you can still configure it. It's also faster and in theory options could even be changed "on the fly" (but hopefully not "in flight" ;) ) by your flight controller (if it knows the options of the ESCs firmware).

    My question is in regards to wiring an external status light for the Revo. I'm attempting to utilize the Flexi Port's first three Pins - , + , Signal . I've first set the Flexi Port for Diagnostics and the WS2811LED out set for Flexi Pin 3. It seems I'm still missing something... Perhaps I'm confused thinking I can use the Flexi Port this way? But since the seup allows me to set it for Diagnostics it seems like I should be able to do this? I know that the Flexi I-O Ports Pins 3 & 4 are currently not wired but I have no idea as to how to insert wires into those Miro plugs. What am I missing?

      +Painless360 Oh believe me I could nearly quote all your Revo videos! Mine is the board with the built in OPLink and has a 10 pin micro plug for the Flexi-IO port. It's outfitted with only eight wires. 3 and 4 are empty. I'm now assuming that the data output I need is coming from that pin 3. What I was hoping was since the 4 pin Flexi Port has the ability to be configured for Diagnostics that its Pin 3 would also work and they provided a nice 4 pin micro plug with the board. Pins 1 and 2 do provide power. But I cannot seem to get the signal to work. It may be the 8 LED bar I purchased. I bought and also tried some individual LEDs. I can't even get them to flicker. Now I'm looking 3 point strips. Thank you for your replies!!!

      yes, I had seen those video and that works fine with the CC3D/cleanflight. Currently, the CC3D revo is set to output telemetry via the FlexiIO connector. minimOSD config for LiberPilot. Unable to get into the OSD menu using the TX (throttle mid, yaw right, pitch forward). After that time out, no AH or most of the data on the screen. Went thru the Liberpilot document a few time and no luck... :)

      I have placed a piece of insulated MuMetal here as the FC is very close to the PDB and there is a chance of RFI and EMF affecting the onboard magnetometer. We will look at this in a later video showing the GPS modes..

    Hello I have just downloaded this for the old cc3d. all goes ok but then u get to the transmitter bit. it says move the sticks as shown so I do but carnt get past the throttle bit. I am using the flysky fs i6 with the b receiver can you advise me

    • @Painless360

      +neil200830 The throttle is the first control it tries - I'd check the wiring and that the Rx is bound to the radio.. Best of luck!

      +Barry Cole S-BUS setup is covered in the manual (librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Revolution+Configuration), there is a few threads on the forums about odd S-Bus problems but we've not tried it here...

      +Painless360 I got a receiver that outputs CCPM, works fine, but you should try the S-Bus for us sometime.

      @Painless360  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's all covered in the documentation - you need to use a port. My advice is use PPM with a CC3D..

      From what I gather I was clicking on a pre setup version to complete the setup.
      I was also trying to use PPM rather than PWM. :) Very rewarding to have it fly.

    the problem is the power and ground for the servos. this PDB is totally useless for a fixed wing, or at least I don´t have a clue how to do it. I really appreciate if you could help me. thanks

      Painless360 I think this is a board related problem, props are balanced, cc3d revo is about 5cm above the pdb.calibrated 4 times from the scratch and still getting north on the wrong side. thanks for ra eply

      gave up on it, cc3d is mounted on moon gel with a mu metal. Props are balanced as well as the motors, the same thing, totally unpredictable. Probably faulty board from hobby kong

      +Chris Harris if it's flipping completely on landings then make sure you're not landing with airmode turned on. I disarm the quad just above the grass and let it fall the last few inches.. Best of luck

    Hi,
    I was wondering if this would work:
    I want to get GPS telemetry data to my taranis X9D screen, I have a X8R receiver, this GPS (www.banggood.com/Ublox-NEO-M8N-GPS-For-Mini-CC3D-CC3D-Atom-CC3D-Revolution-Flight-Controller-Built-in-Compass-p-999341.html) and a CC3D revolution FC.
    My thought was to use the Smartport on my receiver and connect the correct cables from the GPS to my smartport. But I wasn't so sure on which cables though. The X8R receiver S.Port only has three inputs whilst the GPS has four outputs.
    I'm just thinking of different solutions, but do you think that this is plausible?
    Regards,
    Otto

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +InterBlue UF No it's not - without something else in between. a GPS will normally only talk using a serial protocol and with UBLOX or NMEA. SmartPort is a digital network of devices. You can add a GPS to a FC and then pass that details to an OSD but Librepilot doesn't' support this at the moment. You can get a SmartPort GPS unit that plus directly in.. www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__58201__FrSky_GPS_V2_Sensor_with_SMART_Port_1pc_.html

    • @interblueuf4303
      @interblueuf4303 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Painless360 ok, well then I'll skip that part and pay attention to the LED's on the FC instead. Because the GPS I linked is compatible isn't it?

      +Painless360 Website, what website?? Right I may have figured it out. The esc although not bec, must generate a working voltage for the processor. So if the negative of that, is connected to the negative battery lead, then all the negatives get connected together, and all is happiness and light...
