The Canadiens play terrible individual hockey. Players send each other a recording only when there is no other option. It happens match by match. Coufield shoots on goal well if not from the substitute, instead of sending the goal pass to better placed players. For example, Slafkovsky. How is he supposed to score goals when he doesn't get a pass even when there is an empty goal in front of him? In Montreal, Slafkovski was made an invisible worker for black work. The Habs didn't need to buy a player like Slaf for that. That's the only way they destroy his enormous talent and potential. Team play is at ZERO level. I'm not surprised that Montreal, with some really great players, is languishing at the bottom of the league.
You're a Czech, it seems, and it's understandable that you're rooting for Slafkovsky, your compatriot. That's normal and there's no problem with that. However, I am sorry to have to tell you that Slafkovsky does not have "enormous talent". He has average talent with some potential. He should not have been picked first. Third, fourth, fifth maybe. He's a twenty-odd goal scorer a season. But because of his size, he is pretty good along the boards, in the corners and in front of the net. He has a good attitude and his teammates seem to like him. He is neither a puck carrier nor a great stickhandler. All in all, he will help the Canadiens on their way to becoming a top team.
@@Paul-fg6mk If you think that the player who became the best player at the Olympics at the age of 18 has no talent, then you probably understand hockey as well as geography. Is Slaf a Czech? Where do you live? On Mars?
@@cestovatel_kaktus My apologies. The last thing you should say to a Slovak is that he/she is Czech! I hope you don't take it too hard. I know geography quite well and I spent some time in Slovakia and Czechia not so long ago. I am a former hockey player who almost reached the professional level. It doesn't guarantee insight into hockey, but I'm confident in my judgment! I'm not going to change anything in my comment. I did not say he has "no talent". Read my comment again. I wrote, I think, a balanced assessment of his talent and potential. Most people who know hockey in Montreal will tell you more or less the same thing I wrote. He will never be a superstar, but I would take him on my team for the reasons I wrote earlier.
@@Paul-fg6mk I accept the apology, but I also stand by what I wrote. Letting Slafkovski hang around the guardrails is a reprehensible waste of his talent. As well as the punitive play of the entire team. Individualism without thoughts lead the whole team loaded with talents exactly where it is. To the bottom of the table. I don't care how many people in Montreal say otherwise, they are wrong. If they had, then the Habs are on the exact opposite side of the NHL table. Not as it is today and as it has been there for several years. The game has no thought, it is individualistic and stupid. With this attitude, the Habs will never move from the bottom of the table in their lives. If I were Slafkovski, I would pack my saki-paki and leave, even if I had a contract for a hundred million. He can only collect pucks at the goalposts in Montreal. anywhere else he would be a star.
Slafkovsky is not a leader, he will always just serve. He has already played in all lines and cannot build his own line and team mates where the star will be
Happy new years to us habs fans, what a good month this young team has put together

If you think that the player who became the best player at the Olympics at the age of 18 has no talent, then you probably understand hockey as well as geography.
