I played this religiously back in the day....haha love this still. The Star Controls are on steam these days as well, but the sega Genesis version was epic! Its all about the drift and shoot....drift and shoot....haha
I forgot about this game. Truly and honestly. Wish i could remember about when i played this (undoubtably on a tandy machine.. good ole Radio Shack). I had the Genesis though so that's a possibility too... Who knows Wow. Just wow. Great game.
Used to play this all the time, I loved all the different options, the full game was crazy fun but if you just wanted some action it was easy to just jump into a fight
When they are using that Mmrnmhrm cheese move you have to use the gravity and get you ship flying really fast and hope to land some shots or if they hit an asteroid, you can also stick real close to the planet and hope they run into it as you play hide and seek around it lol. Great game.

This was one of those games that did have a lot of replay value.
This was the best game ever. I ruled this.
I played this well before I could grasp the concept of a "strategy game." The design of the ships was awesome; some of then reminded me of Star Trek.
Considering that the Earth cruiser looked almost like an upside-down version of the _Enterprise_ , I can't say I'm surprised.
One of the most underrated games ever!
12 YEARS LOOKING FOR THIS GAME, THANKS ACE
Used to play this during high school. I liked to use planets' gravity as a sling shot to gain speed.
"LAUNCH FIGHTERS!!!"
This game was so fun!
Yes, it was.
So fun when I was younger
Been trying for years to find this game. I remember playing it constantly as a child but could never remember the name. Man, this is crazy nostalgic.

Wow. Just wow. Great game.
I still like the MS-DOS version of this game, the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive was okay.
This is a great, great game. My friends and I spent so many hours playing both melee and full game mode.
Thx for the memories.
Отличная игра! Как давно это было...
It's a 32 year old game.

amazing game with endless replay launch fighters!
my favorite ship was the teleporting ufo. The best trick was staying near a planet because it didn’t get effected by the gravity like the other ships.
That's the Ariloulaleelay Skiff. It had an inertialess impulse engine and a short-range hyperdrive, both of which could help you in close quarters.
The winner is Hrnm-hm of the Mmrnmhrm
I'm not a big fan of the Mmrnmhrm
The Mycon projectile would explode when I released the button, making it generally OP... but there's none of that here. RIP Mycon 🤔😀
Best AI for a Sega game undoubtely
It was good at that time.
I still play the crap outta this game.
I thought this game was good, but not that good! LOL
I think I remember playing against my brother, each playing with half of the same keyboard?
That is what I did back in the day. When I played against other players, I would play against them on the same keyboard.
Do the blasting sounds ever remind me of good times from 30 years ago.
It sure does.
LAUNCH FIGHTERS
haha this takes me back!
LOL, I used to think it was saying Ghost Rider Ghost Rider
I thought it said Roach fire lmao
Needs a shiny graphics overhaul and then added to ps store. I’d play the holy hell out of this again.
I think so.
I like the chenjesu
You have good taste.
