printing issues are the worst 😫 I’ll never forget when my sister ran around the house screaming bc her copy of The Blood of Olympus repeated the second to last 100 pages and didn’t have the actual ending
Omg yes, my first copy of the Son of Poseidon had a HUGE misprint in it!! I'll always remember my horror when I noticed and had to wait to get a new copy 😅
I work in printing (newspapers to be exact) and I have no idea how book printers do it. I’d be curious to work in one though. The amount of checking that goes on during the printing process is very thorough, at least in my line of work. But I also know how mistakes happen 🤷🏻♀️
My copy of Priory of the Orange tree is upside down and starts from the "back". I noticed the error before I bought it and showed the store employee and they were all, "Oh no, we'll get you a good copy!" and I was like, "no, I want this misfit book! Mine!" (As long as it has all the pages. Cause damn, that sucks not to get the whole thing.)
I've only started following you since lockdown started last year, and I have to say it's so bizarre to see you anywhere other than your apartment! So glad you were able to make it out, lol
I love how Shadow and the Fox reads like an anime 😍 it even had arcs in the story if you think about it! I listened to the demon slayer ost while reading it and it was so much fun, perfect ambience for this story 💕 and Clay's cake looked so good! living with someone who loves to bake is the dream!

The weather in NYC has been really beautiful recently. I have been wanting to go to McNally Jackson Books but I’m hesitant to take the subway anymore since the pandemic. I live in southwestern Queens so it’s a bit of a trek. Congrats on getting an appointment for your vaccine!
So happy that New York is getting it's groove back, you have all been amazing ,an example to us all ( I live in NZ so population less than NYC) we too are doing vaccinations now.

Almost 60% of the population in Israel got vaccinated and honestly people are just dragging it, everyone here can get vaccinated from January and we really didn't get how lucky we are. Ooh, I read Leviathan Wakes this year and really enjoyed it, gave it a 4. It's very fast paced and has the found family trope with the crew of the ship. Holden is excellent and so is Miller, even though it took me longer to warm up to Miller. Enjoy! :D
Vincenzo is really good so far! Personally I'm more invested in the side characters/plot than the main arc ATM but it's still an absolutely fantastic drama. Also I know a lot of people are talking about Song Joong Ki (and he is excellent as always) but Ok Taecyeon's performance is honestly phenomenal and a reason to watch in itself!
My local store didn't have Shadow of the Fox, I have to hurry and order it! Also watching you cook makes me so hungry and makes me want to try some of these recipes out :) Love the vlogs!

Hello fellow Brooklynite! I am also reading Arm of the Sphinx. As of right now to me, it doesn't hold a candle to Senlin Ascends, but the story is unfolding really nicely!.
that's so strange about the printing issues because my shadow of the fox also has printing issues but a different one?? so the last chunk of the book almost seemed to be pulled out of the binding and then bent over, and because the binding is glued i couldn't shove the excess pages (that was supposed to be in the binded bit) back in so i had to cut them off and try and bend everything back into place.... super weird!!! mine's a uk edition too so now i'm thinking shadow of the fox is cursed 👀
OMG! My husband bought himself the first part of the complete Dart Tower series (they made a special edition where all the books were bundled up in 2 huge books). So he bought the first one with a gift card et started reading and there's like loads of pages missing... like by the dozen... 20 pages here, another 10 there, another 30 over there... So frustrating! That book is so useless! He read it only a year or two after buying it so he couldn't return the book... We're keeping it because the book is numbered but it's so disappointing! Glad you had an issue for only a couple of pages!

Vincenzo is okay. Like 80% solid drama, 20% slapstick madness. But Song Joong Ki is always worth the madness.
