Great job, I got it on two platforms. I do wanna point a few things out though. Street Fighter Alpha series was previously available on Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary. Which also has a bundle deal with Capcom Fighting Collection. Also CFC added some nice touches that spice things up. For example in the original Darkstalkers, you couldn't play as Huitzil & Pyron. But you can now through enabling a feature. They also made codes to play as hidden characters a lot shorter. They also made Oboro Bishamon, another unplayable character into a playable hidden character in all versions of Vampire Savior.
Also Capcom Arcade Cabinet is playable on newer Xbox consoles. Which makes a lot of games present in both Capcom Arcade Stadium games not as appealing to get simply because you may already owned them. I do like there's methods to get faster points. I also liked how they went about the achievements despite a lot of grinding. At least the grinding achievements will eventually be yours, there's grinding achievements you may never get no matter how hard you try. CFC offers online play with an interesting search system as well as a museum packed with content. I do wanna say for me CFC was Capcom's best compilation so far.
With that being said, this one despite some notable issues. It can be a lot of fun with one of the best line up of games in their recent compilations. I'm surprised the Arcade Mega Man games got included. Of course I also said something similar about Red Earth and both updated versions of Vampire Savior making it into CFC previously. I'm a huge Capcom fan, I always want more of their games. I can also be honest it technically holds up better than Pac-Man Museum+ that I recently been playing through Game Pass. Although in a handful of ways that's better. Honestly, you can't go wrong with Capcom when it comes to compilations.

Ah so that's the scoop with fighting games, thanks so much for all this info as it really helps me figure out the differences. I didn't know previously characters were left out, that's insane. I wonder why that was the case.
Thanks again man, always appreciate when people help for these kinds comments.

I can confirm this is a solid collection, as someone who owns capcom:
    arcade stadium 1,
    arcade cabinet,
    Belt action bundle,
    SF anniversary collection,
fighting collection, and many other console ports from decades ago, it works and plays well.
Input latency is low (on xbox series x), and filters look better than previous collections. I do agree with you that if you have some of the previous collections I mentioned, you may wanna look up the list to see if it's worth it. I just like having various ways of playing capcom games weather its in my living room on series X or bedroom/travelling on switch.
Also that filter on the xbox version of sf anniversary you mentioned, yeah it was on the sf alpha anthology on ps2 aswell. A great bundle of games let down by that fugly filter 🤮

    • @luvbug839
      @luvbug839 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That wasn't a filter. Thats just how composite and component looked for older consoles. Games in that era had to use tricks to blend the image to get the best picture from their games. If you look at the street fighter opening in this video (11:00) you can see that the left side is blending the pixels where the right you can see individual pixels. If you played the Xbox version on a flat screen tv it would look blurry and crappy. On a crt tv the image is amazing because that's the resolution it's supposed to be displayed at

And that's a hell of a missed oppurtunituy. Maybe capcom didn't wanna shell out for servers here. Kinds dumb ngl

    • @KewieCRC420

@@Kelphelp lol very dumb… the first stadium collection had no online play either. But the weird part is that they had another collection before the stadium one and it did have online play… it was on the 360/PS3 era… lol… So if you want Puzzle Fighter/Gem Fighters and Darkstalkers etc. with rollback netcode you have to buy that Fighting Game Collection. It is what it is… Take it easy and keep up the chill work.

With the double, triple dipping, I’m not going to complain too much, as there are subtle awesome differences like invincibility OR east combos/easy hiddens, also full screen I love that ability. Plus I I owe them some $$$ from the late90s-early 2000’s due too reasons lol

    Pro-Tip:
If every given the option, never ever buy the nintendo version and if also given the option, buy Xbox.
They are the only one where when you buy a game and then the next gen consoles come out, the game will still work on that new gen so you never lose your games.
There is a slim to none chance any switch games will carry over to their actual new console what ever that may be.
Only switch games i get now are the first party exclusives. Everything else I get on my Xbox Series X

These are all EMULATION of the original ROMs running on emulators. Emulation is NOT "port." Porting involves more work and are designed to run natively on the console. I wish game reviewers would get this right because you guys are giving publishers too much credit for lazy emulation releases rather than the hard work involved in porting, which by the Dreamcast era, ports are often BETTER than the arcade originals.
