not only am i spending copious amounts of money on makeup but also on books all influenced by you :) all have been so well worth it! oh also letting everyone know we are best friends now so like we talk or whatever 😘
Finally a slow vídeo! I have been searching for a book asmr with a slow voice but almost all of them are just talking in normal speed, thank you 🥺💕love your voice
my favourite book of march was actually beautiful world, where are you! but it was a re-read so maybe it doesn't count... anyway i just discovered you channel but i like it a lot! excited for the april video already :)
Thank you so much!!! Oof I only recently got back into it but I’m very eager to read Mythos by Stephen Fry! For a retelling definitely song of achilles though :)
I'm reading an Indonesian classic novel called 'student Hijo' which I like a lot. Its taking me forever due to my rusty Indonesian lol. But the theme of double consciousness is very well done. Also, the reversal of gender roles of the typical European romance is so fascinating! There is another one called 'secrets of bandung' which I want to read as well but don't think I'll have time...I've scanned it though so maybe over the summer 😊 Cool to see sally Rooney on ur list. I've been wanting to check her out for a while. I was big into socialist lit/authors a couple years back. But I was more into poets 😋 like neruda and hikmet. Songs of Achilles sounds good. I love the idea of rearticulations/re-imaginings of old myths. Vibes very much with the stuff I'm learning in political theory. Thanks for the interesting content 😊 Ps. Is that an Ibanez guitar in the background?
Sounds so interesting!! Let me know what you think of Rooney when you get to it! Also Student Hijo. Are there translated versions of it? And actually no! A takamine thinline and a Gretsch streamliner :)
@@ASMRfleur Will do! I'll probably get to read some of her (Rooney) this summer. I don't think there are any translations of Student Hijo, no. I couldn't find any in any case. But there is this book 'Story of Kadirun' which is available in English that is kind of similar. And very cool, I bought a Gretsch 12-string last summer, but returned it haha. Just me and my yamaha classical now 😁
