i had the exact same opinions on the folk of the air series - the 1st book you're intrigued/entertained but also it takes time to get into, then after the ending you're HOOKED so the 2nd and 3rd books are such a blast
How funny, I borrowed Open Water from my library a few days ago! I read it in one sitting and was blown away; and my goodness the acknowledgements at the end 😭. I immediately went downstairs & handed it to my mum, she started it today!
yes, read oak’s book!!! the stolen heir has holly’s signature prose but instead we get to explore an older, mercurial oak plus wren (who i love). there’s only mentions of jude and cardan but we still get to explore faerie and curses. as long as you go into it knowing that it stands on its own and isn’t like an epilogue of jude and cardan’s story than you’ll enjoy it. plus read “how the king of elfhame learned to hate stories”!
I also really enjoyed reading the 'Folk of the Air' trilogy but sadly I didn't like the last book. It was a little too rushed for my taste. Love watching your book reviews! ♡ Any of your videos in general. They help ease my anxiety and let me sleep peacefully ♡ Thank you so much Fleur!!
