  • If you have never seen these sprinklers run, you would be amazed watching them. It truly is mesmerizing. But the best part about these is how easy it is to install yourself. If you're interested in watching the install, I will leave links below to a couple videos I have done installing these in different yards.
    If you're interested in learning more or getting a quote: irrigreen.sjv.io/WHISPERER
    Install video at my buddy's yard: • The EASIEST In-Ground ...
    Install video at my own yard: • DIY Irrigation System ...
    If you have any questions about this system, send me an email at lawn whisperer.info@gmail.com and I will either answer or I will find someone at irrigreen who can provide the answer!

    I have the system. It's great if you have an Apple device to control it. Their Android app is garbage. They have a few issues in other places as well but they are working on fixing them such as the flex hose coming off and spraying water everywhere. There's also noticeable striping that happens when throwing water 30 ft. The system also does not recognize wind as a weather Factor. Like I said, they know these issues and they are fixing them diligently. It's still essentially a startup company. It's a great concept and a wonderful design though and I am very happy I have it. I'm confident they will get all these issues fixed soon. I spoke to a very knowledgeable person over the phone about everything that's how I know.

    • @TheLawnWhisperer
      @TheLawnWhisperer  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Striping doesn’t happen for me at max distance. It happens at that midrange around 15-20’ but they are making new nozzles to fix this issue. All great points you make and they are working hard to fix all issues.
      I have not had any issue with the flex pipe popping off? Maybe your pressure is too high. I would highly recommend anyone put a master valve in with this system which would only put the valves in the heads under pressure when in use

      @@TheLawnWhisperer Yes I am on the list to get the new nozzles as well as soon as they come out. Excited! I only have 60 PSI. They've heard reports of this from other customers so they redesigned the flex hose with two metal clamps on either end now. They sent me replacement flex hoses with the new design. They are now rated and tested at 600 PSI.

      I don’t think wind is something it adjusts for but I will actually look more into that. The good thing is this stream from these nozzles can withstand wind way better than a tradition system could. I will look into that though and try to follow up

      GCI Turf had this problem with freshly seeded lawn. I think either using straw mats as described above, or using a more gentle moveable sprinkler for initial germination would be the best solutions.

    Cool system. Couple questions.. How close to the watering boundary do you need to water. I noticed your system was about 1 foot inside the walks. Does the grass burn out against the walks without direct water? 2. How do you handle the 4' wide strip between the walk and street? Does each one need its own head? Thanks

    • @TheLawnWhisperer
      @TheLawnWhisperer  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hey! Thanks for asking. It might not have shown as well on video but I actually try to get it right on the border without touching the sidewalk. It’s probably about 6” or less from the sidewalk but picture a paper towel getting wet and the water spreading, same thing with this. The water will hit the soil and spread and soak in. I have not had any issues with edges getting dry or browning out or anything except for next to the gravel driveway but that’s because there’s a lot of rock right under the soil so a different issue

    • @TheLawnWhisperer
      @TheLawnWhisperer  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      And as far as the area over the sidewalk goes unfortunately just like with a conventional system you’d have to water the sidewalk in that instance. You could run a line under the sidewalk and put a head in that strip but these heads need 5’ to throw minimum. I have a spot I think the head actually throws 3’ so it may work for you but they claim the minimum throw is 5’

    Good review. A couple of questions. Is the wiring that is run between the heads and back to the controller underground wiring grade, or is that wiring run through underground conduit? Also, are the nozzles on each head interchangable, like a Rainbird head, or is that only adjustable through the programming?

    • @TheLawnWhisperer
      @TheLawnWhisperer  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Nozzles are adjustable through the app. The wiring could be run through conduit if you wanted but it’s intended to be run and dirt out back over top of it like I showed

    Hey Justin! Nice video! How do these sprinkler heads do when watering an entire area that is bare ground that has been seeded? The streams that coming from these sprinkler heads look like they'd move the seed around and cause pooling due to the amount of water that comes down at one point at the ground vs smaller droplets that come from more traditional sprinkler heads.

    Can you retrofit a current system in any way? For example, keep the current lines to my valves which are 1" but replace my current valve and run 1" PVC or the current flexible pipe I have now but change from 1/2" to 1" to each head? What are the pressure requirements? Do I need to tear out everything I currently have? I have about 9K in Sq ft total front and back. The front is my biggest issue builder didn't run enough zones for proper coverage.

    I'm in the lawn care business, and I occasionally have a client whose sprinkler system needs repair. New start-ups like these are the worst -- one example: having all the electronics buried in wet soil is a sure sign this one doesn't know what they're doing. Like all the other new sprinkler companies that come out every few years, this one will go belly-up, and replacement parts will be impossible to find, so the customer will end up paying for a new system all over again. Stick with an established brand: Rain Bird, Toro, Hunter, Orbit. Properly installed and maintained, they do the job just fine. I would never recommend that someone take a chance on a new brand like this.

Also, this appears to be cloud connected, with limited-to-no local control which is an absolute no-go for me as many times it has left devices bricked with companies going out of business or discontinuing service.
