Moving home is both exciting and stressful! Looking forward to sharing your new area with you over time. Hope you settle in quickly and broadband provision isn't too slow!
You’re not wrong! It’s been a whirlwind l couple of weeks but it’s starting to feel like home now! Just need to get back into the routine of work etc 📸. Really appreciate the kind words my friend!
Lovely scenes as ever, Chris and interesting about the benefits of no internet. With that being said, hope they can sort it soon! Been in Berlin this week so have missed the snow, hopefully there’s still some left when I get home! Congratulations on moving in! 🏡
Thanks Max! Really appreciate it! Still getting to know things so looking forward to revisiting some of these scenes and refining things as I go! Definitely feeling optimistic about my photography at the moment so looking forward to sharing more on here over the coming weeks! Hope you had a great trip to Berlin! I've never been but it's a city i'd love to visit! 👌🏻😊 Storm Bert is on the way this weekend so you might be in luck mate! ❄ Really appreciate that bud! It's coming together slowly!
Thanks Alan! I’m looking forward to exploring, got a few locations in mind that I’m hoping to check out this week 🤞🏻. Thanks for the kind words, we’re getting there! It’s been a really busy couple of weeks but it’s starting to feel like home now
Glad to hear you are still in North Wales, congratulations on the move, hope you are getting settled in OK. Looks like a great area to explore and photograph. Sounds like a good detox from the Internet, it is good to escape from it sometimes. Make the most of it and do not worry about delaying TH-cam post or the newsletter, I am sure everyone understands.
Thanks Jim, I really appreciate it! I'm certainly glad to still be living in North Wales, but it's an area that feels very different to the North Wales i'm used to but i'm relishing the opportunity and excited to get exploring! First impressions are really promising so looking forward to showing you around in future videos! That's really encouraging to hear, thanks for saying that! I've really taken pride in the fact that i've uploaded a video every week since the beginning of the year and i've really enjoyed the routine - it forces me to get out with the camera so i'm trying my hardest to not disrupt that 😊 . Thanks for understanding!
Hope the moves goes well. Something I'll be up to soon. I was in Llandudno on Monday/Tuesday, no snow! Thanks for sharing while you're busy, and I like to see what you do, wherever - 👍 And I make a point of leaving the phone in another room in the evening or at home at times. It's liberating.
Thanks Andy, I really appreciate! Best of luck with your move too! That's a shame that you missed out on the snow earlier in the week, Llandudno is lovely though, I hope you enjoyed your time there! Any snow forecast for you? That's something I've been doing too and it really makes a big difference! Internet will be installed in the next couple of weeks but i'm going to try and keep up this habit!
Love that! Thanks for being a Wednesday Watcher, Phil! Appreciate it buddy! 😊👍🏻 I'm looking forward to seeing what this location has in store for my photography so i'm really glad to hear you'd be interested in following along!
Hang in there on the change, Chris. Change can be stressful, but also can refresh and renew. Am sure viewers would understand any posting “gaps” - part of “special” is “sometimes” as the saying goes. Snow shots a plus, curious horses and busy sheep. How long did the snow last? Am sure you will photographically settle in quite quickly and enjoy new challenges. Is residential internet access just not available or is it on the way and not yet installed? Would it be practical to mobile hot spot tether your cell phone to your PC (you do have cell service, don’t you?) for your internet “dial tone”? Some cell providers in the US are offering internet service to homes via direct cell signal - any prospects of same in your vicinity? Cheers!
Thanks Paul, I really appreciate it - I've tried to just take things in my stride with the move and adopt the 'it'll be what it'll be' mentality! So far so good though, i'm glad i'm still able to edit and work on videos 😌 a great antidote to building furniture! Snow only lasted a day or 2 but more forecast this weekend along with a lot of rain and wind so i'm not hopeful it'll stick! Rare to get snow this early in the season though so could be a sign of things to come this winter. Just not yet installed, we had an engineer here today doing the external work and the internal installation will happen in about a week or 2 so it's just mobile hotspots until then unfortunatel - hotspotting to my phone isn't sufficient for uploading videos. It'll all work out in the end though! Patience is a virtue as they say 😅
Thanks for another video, Chris, I'm enjoying sharing your journey and listening to your thoughts and perspectives on photography. The image on your screen at 5:08 in the video made me do a double-take - I know that scene and location extremely well 😄
Thanks for watching Steve, really appreciate you taking the time! Really glad to hear you're enjoying the videos. It's always hard to find original topics to discuss on TH-cam so I decided to share my own experience and the things I think about in the hope it'll be helpful to hear! 😊 Ha! Really!? 😂 It's a great little scene, just stumbled across it on the way to the estate agents, thought it might have some potential with an interesting subject in the frame - thought i'd just take a quick photo as a reference.
Good luck with your new venture... was interested in the book you picked up from the shelf.. it looked great. It might be good to do a whats on my bookshelf video? atb Alan
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! I love that book, it's actually not a photography book, it's a local welsh Landscape painter and that book is focussed on the mountains of Eryri National Park. I draw so much inspiration from painters - it's something I'm planning on doing a video on so keep an eye out for it! I'll make sure to plan a book shelf video too! Thanks for the suggestion, it's great to know that would be of interest! 😊
New space looks so nice mate, congrats on the move and all the best in your new home, I’m sure you’ll find a whole new world of stuff to photograph! - the no internet situation is so refreshing sometimes isn’t it 😂 I obviously still have the internet, but recently deleted all social media off my phone and so far I’m finding I’m that little bit more creative, could be placebo who knows 😂 either way I’m going to stick with it for now
Thanks so much mate, it's been a heck of a week - how I managed to get this video out i'll never know 😂. Means a lot that you checked it out! I'm definitely feeling motivated to get exploring with the camera and I feel a bit more enthusiasm for shooting so going to try and harness that! The internet situation is less than ideal but i'll make it work! 😅 I totally know what you mean though, that ability to switch off from the noise of social media has been really nice! I feel like it's impacting my creativity too - instead of just scrolling i'll go and edit some photos or flick through a book and it's a far better use of time!
Feeling incredibly grateful for coffee shops with decent wifi today ☕ I didn't think I'd get this video uploaded!

@chrisharveyphotography Cheers. It's just bitterly cold here. We did meet the snow near Rhyl coming back Tuesday night 👍
Wednesday watcher 🙋♂️Looking forward to seeing new work from your new home. 👍

Please reply in detail,
What do you think of Panasonic future im terms of camera department ?
I've got a video planned about my experience with the Panasonic Lumix S5ii which i'll be sharing soon 👍🏻
@chrisharveyphotography absolutely, that will be fire.
