Good on you my man for helping out the solo dragons, gotta help them out so they dont have to join clans just to survive 🙌
Shadowscale is definitely easier solo, mainly because of the camouflage and it's more faster in flight then most dragons.
So glad you also survived, maybe youll grow to elder and be able to cut down some of the clans one day fingers crossed my man 🤞

sleeping heals you
laying is for breeding
and sitting for stam xD
@@irreskatzenweib9104 I know this was five months ago but im fairly sure that laying down kinda halves healing you and giving you stamina.
Really hoping eventually there's some way for solo players to get better stats without having to join a clan. From what I remember you can breed with anyone whether you're in a clan or not but that's usually a pain and ends with someone wanting you to be in their clan anyway.

Hey Owl! You can charge your shot by holding down the fire button. also can wash off acid by swimming.

I thought about a neat mechanic just now. What If Shadow Scale and other Dragons that can use a projectile (like the acid spitball that the wingless dragon has) could stop other Dragons from flying, if you hit their wings a few times, or once? Could be once for energy based shots like the shadowscales, and a few for the Acid Spitters. Would help out players no matter what their stance is. If your wing has a hole in it or is melted away, you can't fly after all
Yeah and then you have to practice on how to fly with holes in your wings for a while as an elder but as an adult it will take longer, then you'd look badass from the holes.
ngl that would be extremely horrible. ive been chased by a clan, 7+ shadow scales after me. i wouldn't have been able to escape if they had that ability. they would've gotten me eventually but I died due to a glitch so admins revived me.
@@iwillhaveyourorder5174 makes living as a dragon more realistic ngl, and you will lose more stam from the hole wounds

I've played Dod for a heckin long time now and I love watching your playthroughs. I thought I could give you a few playing tips tho; 1. Red mushrooms only help food for small fs, and now give toxin. Ai and other dragons are the only real food for a grown flamestalker. 2. Fire doesn't effect a flamestalker in a fight, but is overly powerful against an asd and ss. And 3. If you are a ss or asd and get put on fire, jump in the nearest water to put it out. But the river for some reason still doesn't count as 'water' to put out fire.

Just a tip in the future u did the right thing fighting the asd but remember to use ur bile. A full charge shot can 1 shot them and the small ones deal a lot of damage. Keep up the great work!

It's always funny seeing a PvP player play this game, because they tend to take over easily amongst the roleplayers that think these are the PvE servers.
At 9:30 you landed in saplings and a puddle. I thought you were super high up so when you landed immediately I DIED
Much as I like the concept of this game I'm still hesitant to support it given it's history. And I'm still not impressed that they basically copied the night fury and tweaked it a little. But maybe I'll stick around to watch new content. See if it changes my mind.
I agree, first thing I thought when I saw that dragon was like hey they put toothless in the game XD even the sounds are so similiar

As a solo player myself who try to kill clan members that was very satisfying to watch
when you want to land i would recommend slowing down with space getting close to the ground and then hitting f as if you would start to fly. Makes it way easier and faster to land. Gotta be carefull tho if youre too fast or too high you gonna get damage. Love youre videos i hope you are gonna do more DOD content :D. I can also recommend checking out the Pve servers (for example scaleworx) and just chill with some people and find out some more stuff about mechanics ;)
I really enjoy how well you play this game, I'm a new player, and i really really enjoy how good you are with the acid spitter, the shadow scale was fun to watch you hunt as too, however I'd prefer the acid spitter amongst everything

They played the isle recently and this game is almost impossible to survive on your own, i doubt most people would survive as long as he did
I totally agree not every has time but maybe like one 1 hour vid per week or whatever u can fit in we really enjoy ur content and we would appreciate it if you did attempt longer vids

Lol nice kill on that SS and ASD. Sneak tactic is so fun to surprise people with. I assume the SS was one of my clanmates since jabba came to investigate xD
Quick Tip: When Fighting ASD. Never bite fight. Your plasma and fire shots will always do more damage. Plasma takes 3 shots usually to kill an ASD if they arent elder progged. And its easier to get a shot on them when on the ground as you can rapid fire with less fear of them suddenly shifting direction
Tip 2: When fighting other SS i suggest going for bites first as the bleed will last in the air and is more likely to make them lose more health as they fly. And you save your bile for when they take off so you can shoot at them in the air.
Tip 3: You probably already are aware of this, but cloak landing when being chased by only an FS is usually a bad idea when you can easily out fly them. As they can just use heat vision over the forest for a chance to see you invisible and flame you
@Luxiivy I'm using abbreviations for each of the dragon types.
ASD= Acid Spitter Drake. Which is just the official name of the flightless dragon.
SS= Shadowscale The plasma dragon which i'm guessing you already know.
FS= FlameStalker The fire dragon
Sorry for the confusion, these are just quick ways to name them in combat and i'm too used to just calling them that all the time

I'm sad that no games like this have a solo mode. I'd rather take my chances with horrendous A.I. rather than butthurt clans when a member *expectedly dies* by another player.
isn't more exciting to assassinate clan members and hide in the shadows. clan makes it interesting.
@@timexyemerald6290 Maybe to you. You forget that not all of us like playing in worlds full of other players, especially with clans that act like babies when one of theirs is killed.

Please make more of these! I'm planning on getting a new pc after next summer, and hopefully get the game too. (hopefully they add more dragons by then, but they seem ambitious) I'm fascinated by the flight mechanics and stuff and the game looks really nice! And your videos always include the best DoD gameplay, and your commentary is really good.
now dragons need to be able to fly in and cling to trees ( the smaller dragons) like they wold do irl cling to top of a tree rest for a bit while looking for food before flying away again. then maybe let acid spitters kinda parkor up things a bit easier like running up walls or even being able to leap from tree to tree though there more ground dragons then tree dragons. tree dragons tend to be no bigger then humans full sized and a varying shades of green but im not sure how they could implement such tiny guys in fairly unless that got some crazy advantages fully grown they would basically be as big as a new born shadow scale lol

The fact remains there a flying animal. And flying animals/ predators like to perch high up for better view to not be ambushed and to more easily find food so if dragons did exist it would be common for them to camp out in trees while they rest
I love your videos! Not sure if this will helps, but I have found with the take off glitch if when I jump I take my fingers off all the keys and then quickly tap F once then return to press S and shift I never have the take off glitch. The key is to not be pressing anything else when you press F

Tip: you can fly as soon as you turn juvie, but you need a hill and to press f when jumping. I don't know if you knew, but it seemed like you didn't so here ya go.
I was thinking about doing something like this but avoiding the clans and not engaging them. Basically an intense gane of hide and seek.

You do realize the politics and psychology behind supporting clans? It's set up to make people dependent on each other and pressure them into logging in and playing repeatedly. That's the sign of a development studio that doesn't believe their product can hold on it's own and attract solo players. No one's expecting full fleshed out Elder Scrolls quests, but it sure would be nice to have an "out of bounds" area for solos to grow up in. More AI, penalties for attacking each other (go outside the grounds if/when you want to fight), etc. An open world survival game shouldn't mean every player experiences insect mortality rate.

Hold Shift + Press Space. While in Jump[ animation and still holding Shift , press F and imidietly after that Pull up by holding S. You hold Shift all the time.

most areas of the map are actually controlled and community claimed, you were probably trespassing as stupid as that is, it’s crazy, more, flame stalkers only are good with mushrooms through hatchling stage, it gives less then %5 per mush once you’re an adult. Aswell, if you get spit at by an asd, you can wash it off in the water :)

I honestly dont find playing solo in DOD that hard, especially if your just behave in the chat and stuff, also most of the time when someone starts chasing you on the pvp servers they ask in the local chat who you are, if you answer and they're hunting for someone specific then they might leave you be.
