Just discovered this fine video ! What lovely sounds & happy memories to my first spotting hours at Antwerpen airport, when Sabena used to operate a bunch of classic B.737-200’s ! Thank you for posting this gem, greetings from Belgium 👍👍👍
I prefer the original blue & green stripes, over the new coloured livery of now day's., and prefer also the Boeing 737-200 rather than the A320's fleet. Have been on the 737-200 lots of times, like..... wow! what a step climber🛫👍
Hush kits... ugh. At least there's still a couple in this vid that don't have them. I'm proud to say that of the 6 times I flew on one of these in NZ, none of the aircraft had been hush kitted :)
Wonder if those hush kits really make a noticeable reduction in sound to casual observer. I know I never could tell any sound reduction when the 727s flew over my house back in late 90s when hush kitted.
@@HoranoPatoromo it has modified it making the font larger in 2008 and making the font a little larger but in 2016 this time it was a grey colour and the Kangaroo got larger and started to blend in on the tail
Good old 737's. I used to watch these in Wellington (Moa Point) and Christchurch. Much prefer the old colours too. Not a fan of the new Air New Zealand black - think they look awful.

Ah good memories right here..Wish planes still sounded like this today
Those early birds looked and sounded great.

Wow more awesome footage! I miss the noisy old 200's... even with hushkits they were still loud and proud :-)
Wow the ex-Air Malta B732!! Thanks for sharing!

Wow! aft-fan? or afterburner?
Hush kit
I miss the old Air NZ colours, the modern black and white Air NZ livery is so fugly.
nice thanks for uploading is love the classic 737 :)
Thanks man you made my day
Boy those things can climb! And with what seems like hardly any flaps
The 767 at about 12:12 is a rare sight.
And that pan afterwards... Metros, Saabs, a Convair and a DC3 too!
and 12:32
@@eldiabl06 Qantas hasn't changed their livery at all lol

Awesome! 👍🇳🇿
God, they were noisy, use to live under the flight path in Auckland. When Ansett introduced the BA146, it was like chalk and cheese.
Did the hush kits bring it Stage 2? Certainly not Stage 3.
Why doesnt air nz re introduce this livery. Looks fantastic
Very nice to see/hear. Any footage of the Ansett New Zealand B737-100s a few years earlier?!
5:00 Plane crashed in kyrgyzstan in 2008
One doesn't see many with those hush-kits
Handsome plane!
Hush kits. Anyone else notice??.
Is that what the extra cowling at the rear is?
Yes
I’d like to own one of the homes overlooking the field : with my scanner next to me , never to leave home.
737-200 and airforce 727 are so noisy . But i love those planes!! 777 are much quieter than those planes .

Lack of color. Also the Koru and Fern look incompatible together. They seem to be competing with each other
They used so much of the runway
Not sure why? They had s scheduled service to Napier and that was only a 1400m runway.
Transamerica (Ex TIA)colours ! Except the logo on the drift ... :)
