This makes sense. Assuming Compass has something to do with an alliance with ZAFT, it would be normal for Kira and Shinn to be part of them, and not Athrun, as Athrun stayed with the ORB military. Impulse being able to split into the Core Splender would be ideal for stealth missions over an Immortal Justice in MA mode. I'd have a feeling Athrun wouldn't trust whoever leads Compass either. After his father and Durendal, he's prob gonna be sus of the big wigs before trusting them now.

I found it weird that Shinn is piloting a traditional color gundam. I think the sword impulse gundam has the best color for him. The only thing I would change is the head so that the black chin and head piece is red like the force impulse. I would also like to make the v fin yellow for the lower part instead of white. Maybe Lowie designs something for the Impulse and give its a Red Dragon Silhouette and Red Katana like the gbk-20 gundam astray

I mean you can build silhouette packs for the Impulse Gundam. The issue with the destiny Impulse is power drain and it made Impulse more unstable because of the structure stress it had being made up of three parts. Two ways to fix this is improve the structure of the Impulse to make it more stable and add better battery to it. Seeing how Rising Freedom uses a lot of beam weapons it should have a better battery pack, or you can give the core splendor a nuclear reactor that can power it to use wings of light and the extra beam weapons.

i too think or hope that Shin will be the pilot of the Immortal Justice(for a limited run time or permanently that doesn't really matter), however my reasoning is like really different from yours. this will sounds like pure bullshit for non-EXVS player, but for what we see in Immortal Justice arsenal, one of the more prominent featured weapon is its beam boomerang(make sense that's like one of its very few weapon), not the weapon itself, but how it is implies to be used. using Beam Boomerang as beam sword/beam saber is almost exclusively a Shin fighting style. said fighting style has never been animated in the series, but it is heavily feature in EXVS series. since EXVS2/XB Destiny Gundam received a new attack animation for cc8b input, which use beam boomerang as the main weapon for attack animation. when i saw Immortal Justice beam boomerang has beam saber effect i immediately think about Shin.
I main Destiny in exvs and I tell you, the boomerang is the most important part of it's arsenal. But what happens if the immortal justice is in the game and you throw the boomerangs then went for the melee while the boomerangs are away? what's he gonna use? Leg blades? that'll most likely be assigned to another button like the IJ.

As a Shinn fan I want him to pilot Impulse but they should have made the Impulse spec 2 a bit different. I've said it on other channels in the comments. But Impulse spec 2 should have been given a dome like cockpit or make the core splendor better with separate pieces of armor that are movable like the Destiny. It should be improved to helped the Structure by acting like a spine to help give it more human like movement. That also requires improving and update the chest and legs to fit this epically the waist area. I don't mind if they make the look the same but that is what they should do. They could upgrade the battery and phase shift armor of the suit to match 4th gen suits. In terms of weapon upgrades for the base Impulse. Since Sword Impulse colors are the strongest vps armor that should be the default color. On the Shoulders add two beam boomerangs like the Destiny Gundam not on the elbow because even with the model kit that was a weird place to put them in. Where the knives are change it to standard beam sabers but upgrade them so that can clash with other beam sabers but they are hidden within the skirt armor like the knives were. Upgrade the shield with a beam emitter and add a beam at the end of it for more melee. I'm giving Shinn like 5 melee weapons on the base Impulse. You can also have three new Silhouette flyer like the Destiny and two more one fore defense and one for long range attacks.

Athrun can pilot a pink suit since he tends to do that. Shinn did pilot the sword impulse as his first combat suit. He also has a red pilot suit. Maybe that is the reason why he is piloting Immortal Justice its because its red. Infinite Justice was literally made for Lacus for gunpla reasons. Not for show reasons. This is why I hated SEED Destiny. The whole point of Freedom and Justice is that they are both equal. That is what happened in SEED. Yet, in SEED Destiny, it was a Kira wank fest all over again. I mean the damn show was Shinn's to begin with and yet he was reduced to a mess antagonist. Shinn isn't going to die there was a leak on reddit saying that him and Luna will be parents. The leak was valid because it was the same leak that showed the Immortal Justice and Rising Freedom as well as the new strike freedom and infinite Justice.

this will sounds like pure bullshit for non-EXVS player, but for what we see in Immortal Justice arsenal, one of the more prominent featured weapon is its beam boomerang(make sense that's like one of its very few weapon), not the weapon itself, but how it is implies to be used. using Beam Boomerang as beam sword/beam saber is almost exclusively a Shin fighting style. said fighting style has never been animated in the series, but it is heavily feature in EXVS series. since EXVS2/XB Destiny Gundam received a new attack animation for cc8b input, which use beam boomerang as the main weapon for attack animation. when i saw Immortal Justice beam boomerang has beam saber effect i immediately think about Shin.
I main Destiny in exvs and I tell you, the boomerang is the most important part of it's arsenal. But what happens if the immortal justice is in the game and you throw the boomerangs then went for the melee while the boomerangs are away? what's he gonna use? Leg blades? that'll most likely be assigned to another button like the IJ.

why would shin use an gen 2 series gundam when everyone is using the supposed gen 4 gundams I would like to see him using a successor to the destiny gundam and athrun using the gen 4 justice gundam assuming all three protags do an epic team up in the end.

As a Shinn fan I want him to pilot Impulse but they should have made the Impulse spec 2 a bit different. I've said it on other channels in the comments. But Impulse spec 2 should have been given a dome like cockpit or make the core splendor better with separate pieces of armor that are movable like the Destiny. It should be improved to helped the Structure by acting like a spine to help give it more human like movement. That also requires improving and update the chest and legs to fit this epically the waist area. I don't mind if they make the look the same but that is what they should do. They could upgrade the battery and phase shift armor of the suit to match 4th gen suits. In terms of weapon upgrades for the base Impulse. Since Sword Impulse colors are the strongest vps armor that should be the default color. On the Shoulders add two beam boomerangs like the Destiny Gundam not on the elbow because even with the model kit that was a weird place to put them in. Where the knives are change it to standard beam sabers but upgrade them so that can clash with other beam sabers but they are hidden within the skirt armor like the knives were. Upgrade the shield with a beam emitter and add a beam at the end of it for more melee. I'm giving Shinn like 5 melee weapons on the base Impulse. You can also have three new Silhouette flyer like the Destiny and two more one fore defense and one for long range attacks.

@@Matanumi I don't see the Orange Destiny in the movie. I would like Shinn to get an upgraded Impulse with a Red color scheme if he is piloting the immortal Justice to match his pilot outfit. Athrun can pilot a pink suit since he tends to do that.
I still think they could have upgrade the Impulse based on my comment before where the core splendor has a better structure to carry heavier loads to do that make the structure more better and give it human like movements that they did with the Destiny Gundam which was made by having its structure components that were made into smaller and movable pieces and the armor was divided into smaller pieces.

Nope, it is the destiny impulse that shin will pilot since there are 4 units and only 2 were confirmed while the other 2 are secret. There's a possibility of msv in that movie since eclipse gundam is not there. Would have been nice if there are astrays there from seed astray series.
hopefully its Destiny Impulse but they need to fix the structure of the Impulse and give it a better battery or a nuclear reactor. Destiny Impulse has two weakness its because its made of three parts and the Destiny Silhouette causes more stress on the Impulse because of the additional gear its carrying

The only solace I can take out of all of this is that Shinn will now be moved into MC status instead of side character by piloting a Tri-colore MS. But that's still stupid AF.
Shinn did pilot the sword impulse as his first combat suit. He also has a red pilot suit. Maybe that is the reason why he is piloting Immortal Justice its because its red. Look what happened when Athrun piloted the Saviour he got it destroyed. Athrun pilots many pink/purple suits like his pilot suit.

Infinite Justice was literally made for Lacus for gunpla reasons. Not for show reasons. This is why I hated SEED Destiny. The whole point of Freedom and Justice is that they are both equal. That is what happened in SEED. Yet, in SEED Destiny, it was a Kira wank fest all over again. I mean the damn show was Shinn's to begin with and yet he was reduced to a mess antagonist. Shinn isn't going to die there was a leak on reddit saying that him and Luna will be parents. The leak was valid because it was the same leak that showed the Immortal Justice and Rising Freedom as well as the new strike freedom and infinite Justice.

I knew it. There will be another Freedom & Justice variant since Rising Freedom & Immortal Justice look like downgrade. I think its normal they downgrade Freedom & Justice beacuse they in cooldown period when Natural & Coordinator conflict is going to end. Why keep too high spec MS when you do close to peace? That what i think when see Rising Freedom & Immortal Justice on first time. But if they wrong & their enemy somehow develop high spec MS the new high spec Freedom & Justice will be need. I just hope this movie have enough duration to deliver a good story. Not to rush but not to draggy.
