I'm doing it ! I hope I will be able to follow all what you say, sometimes you are very fast and I'm not a big user of c4d ; ) Thank you very much for your help ! I'll learn a lot following your tuto. I will try to change some things a little bit because I would like to do a little pretty black girl to illustrate a book. I don't know how I will do the hairs or the dress...

My first comment! I'm going to print this and hang it on my wall! There's several ways we could achieve that with this character, I did not model this guy with an eyelid, but for a stylized blink a simple way would be to add a "Squash and Stretch" deformer as a child of the eye and animate the 'Factor' while setting the expand to zero. We could also duplicate the eyelid expand it slightly and delete polygons as eyelid slits, I'd create three of these, one fully open, one mid, and one fully closed. Place a skin shader on all of these objects, put them all under a cloner, leave it as linear, remove any offsetting it adds by default and set the count to 1. When you want to blink you could animate the offset number from 0-2 to show the eye closing. This might be a good idea for a quick tutorial! Thanks again, all the best.

At minute 8.43, you're about to connect the head with the neck.
And right in this part, it's very important to say to whoever is doing this part, that you MUST hold SHIFT down while you have the (STITCH AND SEW tool) selected, otherwise, the circle won't close correctly with the neck. I'm sure you could give up like i almost did for some time.
Selecting the option (Hold shift selected) on right screen didn't work for me. Hours later i figured out what i was doing wrong.

Nice tutorial.....lots of new thing to learn indeed. But one problem I'm facing that whenever I'm trying to "connect object + delete" command on the "parent sphere & child modifier", it's deleting the whole object. I've tried in several way to resolve this but can't make it happen. By the way I'm using C4d R.16 version. It will be very helpful to me if you can guide me........
    Thanks in advance.....

Hi, every time I apply the 'set point value' to 0 the shape of my objects goes out of control, it just looks completely wrong. This happens at every stage I'm supposed to set the value and makes following this tutorial very difficult. Could someone please suggest why this is? Thank you.

    • @brandonzemelofficial

Just taking a guess here, perhaps your object isn't centered with the world, so you're telling to center on 0 in the world but thats not the center of your object.
