    There's something about the victory red that looks so clean.

    What's the point of this video you can't even see how to remove the stuff. Not as simple as a few bolts that's why i came here. (Edit) fast responses and helpful

      Isaac s well I showed you every single bolt to remove then you pull it straight up hard to do as a one man show dont have help all the time but once it’s unbolted you lift it up!

      Juatfrustrated, Got a big plastic hose looks like itsrunningfrom the bottom of the intercooler to the top where thethrottle body. Looks like it may spin can't find anything on its a 2015 dura

      Isaac s well every year has changed basically from 2007 and up just about in a little way but if you look at it and there is a small like metal clip where the two pieces of plastic go together you need to pop that off it’s shaped like a c so it’ll come off then you should be able to just separate the two pieces and get it off I think I had to remove the mounting bolt from it accessible from the pass side wheel well then remove the tube completely and then pull the intercooler

    Dang.... That was some Carnage that came out of that Intercooler! Guess I need to go look for the Part 1 of this story?? (Hope there is one?) Thanks for sharing Bro, good info.

    what are your advice on a oil catch can for the rocker covers or pcv .. to prevent oil blow back into turbo intake.. i plan to install.one in my van .. plus diesel in my country is poor quality..so i am gonna try a inline fuel filter as a backup to help my primary diesel filter

    Help! I bought a 2006-2010 Mishimoto Intercooler for my 2007 (12/06) classic Duramax 2500 LBZ, and the mechanic is telling me it's hitting the "cat"-style mooring brackets and can't figure out how to make it fit. At this point, I don't know what to tell him -do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

    What are your thoughts on washing out the IC if it has oil in it as well? I also shredded my compressor wheel and will need to go after the parts that hopefully got stuck in the IC, but also want to clean out any oil that's in there too.

    • @RESURRECTEDDIESEL
      @RESURRECTEDDIESEL  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't see it being an issue as long as you clean it out very well with whatever you clean it will if its just a little oil its not a big deal but if its a lot I would rinse it!

    • @richardbolger4900
      @richardbolger4900 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RESURRECTEDDIESEL thanks! I rinsed it with gasoline so it would dry out/evaporate after. There was probably 1/2qt of oil in the IC.

      @RESURRECTEDDIESEL  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah usually from the pcv if you delete it shouldn’t have any more issues with it!

    Did you get a stock turbo or did you upgrade

  • @rhunter3406

    Check #4 cam bearing. Have had many high mile trucks come i recently with turbos

    • @RESURRECTEDDIESEL
      @RESURRECTEDDIESEL  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just for my knowledge what would that have to do with the turbo issue? And this truck only has 90k on it and that was a Danville charger 🤭

    • @rhunter3406
      @rhunter3406 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      DURAMAX_DIESEL turbo gets oil supply from said bearing. If it is spun (sometimes with no other symptoms other than a bad turbo) will keep shitting turbos. Due to low oil supply. With the charger off, look down the supply hole and you will see the journal. If you dont see the port in the cam bearing it might be spun causing no oil flow.

    • @RESURRECTEDDIESEL
      @RESURRECTEDDIESEL  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahhh that’s very good to know I do remember reading that was the supply but I never thought about looking down to see if it’s spun thank you for the knowledge!! Love to learn these things! We are getting oil pressure there it’s been running good and it’s pretty low miles but it does get beat on!!

    • @RESURRECTEDDIESEL
      @RESURRECTEDDIESEL  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hungrynapps well since it’s a 90* into the intercooler any metal would’ve hit that before going in and if not we vacuum checked it and put it back in! No leaks yet trucks been good for a few months now!!!

    Do you Think the intercooler caught all the pieces of the turbo?

    • @RESURRECTEDDIESEL
      @RESURRECTEDDIESEL  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Louie D 1911 ummm I think it caught any big piece that would cause any sort of damage what ever made it though if anything would have already been through the motor and the motor still runs like a top

    If I break open the ac lines when I remove everything to do my head gasket job, can I just bolt it back together when I’m done and have it refilled with Freon (I know it’s not Freon anymore I just can’t think of the name) or will it be contaminated with atmospheric moisture and have to be replaced?

    • @RESURRECTEDDIESEL
      @RESURRECTEDDIESEL  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess depends how long it’s apart but if you cap all the lines with plastic after you pull it apart you should be good to throw it back together and bring it to a place and get it filler!
