Our family had the perfect solution to dog loneliness issues: we got a second dog. Our golden retriever and shih tzu kept each other company, when the rest of us were away or busy.
I've had 4 Shitz Tzu in my life time but I'm not going anywhere anytime soon . So I'm seeking my 5th one. My last Shitz Tzu passed away after 13 yrs. He was part of our family, very purddy and smart. Crying all the time I was at work, was well loved and well missed. I loved my Chewpup. I know this breeds world. It's time for Shitz Tzu 5. . This breed of dog is Beautiful... it's what I like most about them... smart and loyal..
All they do is guard. The old one that we lost always faced the front door or bedroom door. Always. Up until it was too old and sickly. They’re not going to do the fighting though, they look at me to deal with the threat.
Small. stubborn, spoilt, aloof. Not my kind of dog at all. More an old ladies dog. Then I got one. Best friend, companion, clown, head turner, good listener. cheerful all day everyday. Guess I'm hooked.
My 11 year old shih tzu is suffering from anxiety disorder and does excessive scratching on doors. We lost my husband 3 years ago and because of my health problems I've moved in with my granddaughter and her family. At the least little l e sound from outside my room has running to the door and scratching. Music seems to be the only calming remedy. Help!
I'm in Montana and seeking my 5th Shitz Tzu? Would anyone know where to go? Sure. . I can Google for such things but I'm interested in real responses... send a shout out.....Don't be silent..... This breed only.
What do I think? Don't want one these noisy and useless furballs! I'll take my quiet-for-the-most-part cats any day! They do fine with each other while I'm away; they're content just lying beside me if I am too tired to pet them; and they are awesome pest-control agents! They're useful as well as great companions!

Now, the Golden Retriever I can dig! THAT'S a real dog!

I love my shit TZU. VERY LOVING AND SMART DOGS SO CARING
Always have two shih tzu’s.
I'd rather have none! TOO needy, clingy, and they're not good hunting or guard dogs and therefore, useless to me!

I have a question I am about to get a Persian kitty that’s 2 or 3 months old but I have to leave my kitten for 7hours and 30 minutes everyday!
I’ll advise having someone check up on them regularly when you’re out, since as a kitten they’ll definitely require more attention.
