My Daisy also follows me through the whole place, even when I go to the restroom she’ll be waiting by the door and as soon as I come out she lays back playing dead and she won’t get up until I say.. are you playing dead mama? Then she only moves her eyes too see me and she waits for me to rub her belly and then follows me where ever I go 😅
Yoda is very playful. Play biting and follow me everywhere in all circumstances whether I am taking shower or doing my "business" he patiently waits. He loves brushing his teeth, taking a bath and always excited to eat.

I was never a dog person until I met sweet Soxy who was neglected. She was depressed and sad and matted fur and nails cutting into her feet. When I took her to the groomer she loved it and suddenly this sprightly puppy appeared. She was so happy with her haircut she was showing it off to everyone and smiling. In the last 9 months we have grown so close and I love her so much. She is super affectionate, loves walks and runs, playing catch and she’s my constant companion. When I went out one day for 6 hours she sat in the yard starting out the gate waiting for me to come home. She snuggles with me every night and sleeps in the bed. I wake up to nose kisses (licks) and lean to cuddles. After breakfast she has decided it is her exclusive cuddle time with me and does belly/army crawls which are so cute and melt my heart, she rubs her head in the soft blanket in excitement and her tapping dance excitement when I get home has stolen my heart. I’m moving internationally and have advocated for her as it’s actually my landlords daughters dog and the landlord neglected her. Her true owner is now working at getting a pet friendly place.

My Gizmo is so loved and spoiled but he also knows that he doesn’t get any table scraps although he’ll try. I just took him to the groomers last week and he also had a visit with his vet who said that he was at a healthy weight of 9.5lbs He has me I’m his human momma but he loves my grandson who happens to be his favorite person 😊

Well, believe me. My shih tzu died after 17 years, when everyone says that a Shih tzu's standard life is about from 10 to 14 years. He NEVER accepted dog food, and we gave him human food since he was a baby. It is true that a dog's stomac normally cannot assimilate chocolate and so many other ingredients we human can eat. But it's also true it depends on the way he goes forward since he is a puppy. In his puppiness, only milk (for human) and bread. We never washed him with water until his first year of life, but only dry foam wash. He ate a lot, he played a lot, he was always loved like a family members, like a brother and a son. Thanks for this video, man. But the sole REAL ways to hurt your shih tzu are: 1) not feeding him/her at all or not enough: an unfeed pet is a lonely pet, he/she'll die faster; 2) not playing with him/her: an unhappy pet will die faster; 3) not giving him/her love: a pet unloved feels a burden and he/she'll let him/herself die faster; 4) not making him/her do exercises: we lived on a building, on the forth floor: never used the elevator, always doing the stairs, to go up and down; 5) ignore the parasite who could attack him, so avoiding to protect your do, expecially in the summertime.
I completely disagree with the first reason. Dogs live healthier lives with raw or lightly cooked meats like chicken and beef without the seasoning. Also some fruits and vegetables that humans eat are essential to good nutrition. Dry dog food has a lot of fillers and added ingredients that are not good for dogs. There are some foods about there that are good but 80% of the dog food out there is not good for your dog. You want to give your dog a long and healthy life feed them raw meat and vegtables
I agree that commercial dog foods are loaded with too many chemical toxins and aren't safe. Two of my Shih Tzu developed tumors and passed away prematurely (one at 8 yrs and one at 9 yrs). There are poisons everywhere we look in our food supply. It's very very difficult to eat/feed clean in our greedy world.
Agree. My fur babies lived 16 and 17 happy, healthy years. And they ate what I ate: baked and boiled chicken, salmon, brown rice, carrots, broccoli sweet potatoes. NO. raisins, garlic, grapes, or chocolate
Depends on what people and dog food. Processed meat and hormone feed meat should be consumed by man or beast. Same applies to cheaply made dog food. In Alaska dog food is fresh caught salmon. Which is what people should eat.
Mine lived 18 years-Science Diet puppy food to Science Diet senior food through his entire 18 years. I loved my dog dearly -and didn’t have the science knowledge and breakdown to know what was the correct balance of food groups. How many calories of protein-veggies-starch etc. geesh-I never did that for myself! (I don’t stand a chance doing it for him!) And he was always a free feeder-food was always left out. Never had a weight issue-sometimes like people if something taste extra good, they can eat too much. Or if they exercise heavily-they may sincerely need more food, if they don’t have it when needed-it can cause a weight problem. I have never pushed people to give their dog any kind of food, (not rotten and make sure to feed them! And anything that would give them diarrhea is probably not right. ) I find those who PUSH food and seem slightly self righteous are those with the holier than thou attitude on feeding them “real food”. My Max was no more or less loved than people buying the cheapest dollar bargain food or cooked chicken and rice. The quality is being played with, protecting them and loved ones (actual people from rabies), being vaccinated and get them fixed so they are not a puppy mill, or accidentally breed with some “kin folk” and have genetic mutations-which are bad for offspring. Talk about stop the hate- It’s your dog-feed him what you want-you are no better or no worse than anyone else.
According to my Vet, making your dogs food is the best way to go. I feed my dog chicken and beef that has been boiled with no spices at all along wih a variety ov fresh veggies, no salt added. He said that is a great diet for my Shih Tzu.--It is all human food.

Advocation isn’t toxic, the skin is toxic. Table scraps are not harmful as long as they are not harmful food that dogs cannot have like grapes etc. As long as the dog is not over fed they will not get fat. Rare quality protein food is very good for dogs and in fact the best. Not kibble which is terrible.
I feed my shih tzu human food every day and non of that processed dog food and my dog is fine. But I'm always looking up what I can give my dog. This morning scramble eggs, some chicken and bone broth with squash. No seasoning

I make my Shih Tzu homemade dog food. ie: Beef Stew & Chicken Stew, Mushy Peas and Carrots, etc.
