Keeki, I would absolutely get clearance from your physicians prior to beginning your aerial practice. I recommend seeking out in person aerial instruction from a certified teacher in your area, as there are modifications you can do with certain poses to avoid unnecessary strain...especially if there are any preexisting injuries involved. Aerial can be an amazing tool to relieve pain , but even with years of experience, there is always a risk of exacerbating an existing injury.
