I am a very satisfied user of the SE3 2022, for me touch id is better than face id and the mini dimensions suit me very well. I don't really care about the cameras and the rest. Plus the new model will certainly not cost $430 and will be worse than the cheapest full iPhone
I've now got the SE-3. Personally, I like it. Sure, it's only 90% as good as the most modern phone, but at literally a fraction of the price. Besides, for me the display and camera are more than good enough, and I carry my Leica around still as needed for special photo occasions.

For everyone complaining about the notch vs dynamic island. The notch has stayed in production for 5.5 yrs. While it did shrink a bit at the end, the notch has had more time to be cheap to manufacturer compared to the island being currently 2 and 3 by the end of this yr. So it makes sense for apple to short change customers by using the notch. Is it _right_ or ideal, no. But its a business move--its logical.
The best Iphone would be the size of the iphone 8 without bezels (or atleast smaller) and a better screen, even though I do not really need more than I have now in my Iphone Series 2. In addition to that a slightly better camera and a newer chip. I love the design of the iphone 8 the feel is great and I love my phone. I used it for the past four years now and I really dont regret buying it.

Yeah hes literally describing a better iphone 14, just with a cheaper screen. There is no way they're gonna sell a better version of the 14 for 430 dollars or even 500.
It will start at $500-550. Unfortunately, way more in Europe. Probably €700. The primary camera will be the iPhone 11's 12MP sensor - definitely not the 48MP from the iPhone 15.
Bro this is just a naive wish list of all the best features we'd want in a $400 iPhone. Apple will never implement this big of an overhaul, especially not with the SE.
I really want apple to drop the se4, cus when then do Samsung will have to lock tf in with their A line phones. Cus, despite other manufacturers doing something Samsung won't, it seems they only respond when apple does something.
This have been rumored for so long….i wanted it for my parents (my mother in specific, she had my old 7), ended up buying the 15, it would last for a ton of years. If it’s more than a 6 months of waiting, I don’t think it’s worth it to be waiting for something that it’s not confirmed it will be realeased soon.
I have no problem with phones that have less features like the se3….i don’t need more than 12 megapixels. I hardly take pictures. There are others like me out there. So, Apple please continue to offer low end phones at a great price and I will continue to be a customer 😊
Screen, battery, cores, camera. That's where the cuts will most likely be as Apple forbid we get anything we truly want in a reasonably priced phone for once. One has to remember that this phone is actually designed for the corporate market and not the individual buyer.
Bugger that they have removed the fingerprint sensor. I love that on the old SE phone I have currently. Not worried about all bells n whistles, just want the old phone chips upgraded. The small size is great as it fits my back pocket. Not concerned about camera being upto latest, as I only take a few pics anyway.
I guess I'll get iPhone SE5 when they include 48mp hires cam, dynamic island, usb type c, a18 3nm chipset and satellite connection with ios 19 or 20 in 2025 or 2026 🤷
Going from LCD to oled is good for many but for pwm sensitive we are pretty much f****d now. We will have to hold on to the SE3 until a new screen tech fixes the pwm issues. I’m sure the OLED will be a cheap one w terrible hz/amplitude.

An ActionButton is unrealistic, because the volume buttons are real buttons to press, while the cut out is for the old-but-gold mute switch.
I honestly hope there is no action button, I prefer the mute switch personally.
