Fun fact. The Tigers were scheduled to wear their City Connect uniforms against The Sox tonight, but opted to wear the traditional uniforms so they could clinch wearing the Olde English D. Wise choice.

Objectively speaking as a Baseball Fan, this HAS to be the best storyline of the Season. The Tigers sold at the Trade Deadline and were 55-63 early in August, and yet STILL made playoffs. LETS GO, TIGERS, this Blue Jays fan is pulling for y'all!!!

Of the last 5 World Series Winners, excluding the 2020 Season because of COVID, the teams on average won 26+ games and posted a .630+ Win Percentage from August 11th to end of play for the regular season. The Tigers are on pace to go 33-11 (best record in MLB since August 11th) and post a .730+ Win Percentage during that stretch.
If you let the Tigers get Hot, there is no turning back, and you’re gonna get burned.

While it does help a little bit they played the White Sox, the Tigers during this stretch won a series against the Yankees, went 5-1 against the Mariners, 4-2 against the Orioles and swept the Royals in Kansas City. Going back further to right before the break, they won 3 of 4 from the Guardians and a series against the Dodgers.
