Thanks for watching, I did find out the ambient sensor is in the controller for the auto feature. It is a 3 plug harness so an extension can be added to bring the controller into your tent and utilize the auto feature. Make sure to use 15Warthog for a 15% discount.

You can just use the temp control versus the gear setting so you not blowing through battery on stopping and starting.
I use the temp control for my shed. Really extends the run time per fill.

Well, now I think I'll have to stop by and borrow it for some mockup mods for the WJ!

Thanks, just ordered it. Like the steel case, 90 deg. exhaust tube and side exhaust exit. If pump noise is too loud will then mod it. Plan to use in shop for supplemental heat source and job sites when needed.
Figure first thing is disassemble check pump orientation (angle) and wrap/zip tie if needed and check all nuts n bolts.

I used it in my garage for 8hrs and then just got back from a trip and it ran 15hrs on low. In a shop environment, you'll probably never notice the pump noise but I'm sure a small piece of Dynamat will kill the noise. I think the steel case is what's amplifying it.

@@WarthogOverland Update: Notice some diesel smell (not much) so took completely apart found where metal fuel line goes thru rubber grommet on exchanger had a slight gap. Sealed with red rtv also did glow plug rubber boot. No smell now and runs very quiet.

I have one of these. After 20 minutes running you can't even hear the pump running. There is 4 screws on the handles that have to be removed to remove the cover.

Also Not on one of the lowest gears? Or only when it runs on maximum?

I heard a tik tik tik noise when ignition, will it disappear after run for a while?

No the tick is always there which is the fuel pump. The blower does mute it. I do not hear it in my rooftop tent, I only hear the blower coming through the vent.

@@WarthogOverland the next question is, how far from heater to hear that tick?
in my case, I will use it with my normal tent not a rooftop tent. so how far until i can't hear the tick?
      thank you for the answer.😁

@@RoruNz 6ft away would be my guess. The blower does mute the tick a lot.
