The more I hear of Wagenseil's music, the more I hear of his genius. His counterpoint is excellent. The interactions between the solo instruments are so harmonious. His music is so full of energy and vitality.
Georg Christoph Wagenseil 1715 - 1777 ...composer, keyboard player and teacher .. born in Vienna ... a pupil of Johann Joseph Fux ... His pupils included Johann Baptist Schenk (who was to teach Beethoven) and Marie Antoinette ... both Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are known to have been familiar with his works ... WIKI
This concerto by Wagensil, who was with thr so-called Mannheiùm school, is quite progressist in the way haw it uses winds within the orchestra, even in contrast with the two soloists which are winds also. This implies an actual research on global sonority. On the other hand, it is also conservative by using the "basso continuo".
This is Empress Regnant and Consort Marie Therese of Holy Roman Empire (Germany and Austria) I know your comment is 2 years ago, but 2 years later (which is today) I answered you while no one does

This is genius. I love it: the music and the performance!
This piece is so varied in color and texture--brass, theorbo and woodwind points, to say nothing of the wonderful sounds of the soloists. Love.
This music sparkles, what a great composer to discover! His symphonies are fantastic too.
Beautiful ! Thanks for sharing :)

Bravo maestro! Superb.
He was influential in the development of the classical style, as is quite evident in this piece

super👍👍👍👍
Absoluta perfección substancial. De un arte decorativo que despliega la esencia infinita y genial del espíritu musical hecho ya carne magra y rolliza.
Wild!
👍👍👍
diese Energie reisst buchstäblich hin!
Have come upon a miracle in sound. And the painting ? Queen Victoria ? By whom ?

Das Gemälde, glaube ich, stellt K.u.Kg. Maria Theresia dar
