Kendal Just wanted to say Sorry for your loss. They are just like loosing a family member man I feel your hurt .I lost my little girl at 13 years also and I said after loosing her I did not want another. But it was too hard not having her meet us at the door every time we came home. Eight months passed filled with hurt and never a day with out thinking about her. We did an adoption for another and it eased the feelings. God Bless

Yeah it’s like that in the basin and a lot of times they may be in deep water but high in the water column where I catch them with my popping float technique. Thanks for watching Justin.

Another awesome video brother! Eli had a bass tournament on Henderson Saturday...we struggled but ended up with a decent sack :-). Man there must have been 500 boats out there chasing those sac-a-lait...word must have gotten out that you was on em lol! Have a great day!

Those were some nice slabs. I went yesterday and got skunked. I think it was due to the weather. It was cloudy the whole day with no wind. Tried jigs and minnows.

Do you use any electronics to locate the fish, or to find what depth they are at least? If not how do you determine your depth to fish and around what cover to fish?

Wow, I really like your style. I wish I could get on some 4ft crappie on my lake in summer . I’ve always wanted to try Atchafalaya basin. Any recommendations on area to try for an out-of-Towner? I have a surface drive duck boat or can use a bass boat.
Yeap chase that is one good thing about the basin. You can find shallow fish year round. It all hinges on the river stage ,as the the river falls I go to different locations in the basin. The basin is such a vast area and it’s hard to just send someone out there. When you ready I can maybe drop a few pins. Thanks for watching

I have and I prefer to peg my bobber.I find the bobber has better action witch attracts the fish up to the bait . Thanks for watching and commenting!

Nice video Kendall. I use several crappie reels and when I need to reach out there I use the crappie reel like a fly reel but I want to rig up one rod with a spinning reel similar to what you have here. Do you have a preference on ultralight spinning reels?

Thanks Blake! I use the public launch a lot under I-10. I also use a couple of the private landings on the levee. We caught good Sunday not far from the public landing.

I fish the east side of the Mississippi River (blind river, Manchac, Amite, etc) I'm just starting to get into sac-a-lait (crappie) fishing, but already love it.
