the only disadvantage that i can see is that the con that does the motion control is near the stock of the gun, so to move the "gun" you have to pivot in way that dosent really work for "firearms" if there was a way to switch them around this might be an objectively great way to play the game
Wouldn't inverting the motion controls get it a bit closer to how it works? I might be under estimating how much you would intuitively move the entire thing as opposed to just the handle, though

I play with separated joy cons because I just like how the joy cons feel in my hands by the self without the connecter thingy. I can play both ways I just feel like the joy cons feel more secure and I can hold them better that way.

At this point I use it for non shooter games😭 and it actually made me way better at the game😊 (I still suck though) any ways thats the end of my comment and today's message is ALWAYS BOOYAH BACK Edit: oh ya and to add on that's not how you hold it 😭 your supposed to hold it 6-7 inches away from your chest and rest your elbow on your leg.
