I'm pretty sure they had the voice actor actually play the games and then edited some extra lines and edited Mario in. Because he sounds so chill here compared to other times. But the part that convinced me is the part (4:46) when he realized Mario was hiding there. That made me assume he was actually playing the game and he was actually reacting that way.

I feel like he fits this tone slot better than in other episodes, but that's just my opinion.

I like that James used his regular voice as though this was one of his livestreams. The way the footage was set up reminded me a lot of the Hobo Bros Gmod videos. This was a really fun one, I loved the dynamic between Mario and SMG3.
Never thought to see the ex-villain himself now collab with the Hero! It really feels weird SMG3 went from fighting SMG4’s Channel especially in WOTFI 2020 into this way he’s like collab with the channel of his former rival, This is why it’s honestly the best way for taking an entertainment break while waiting for each new episodes also to keep Mario’s zany acting never gets old 💙
