I think they should reconnect The Conway Bayou and or New Rive once the were connected to the Mississippi River. This would put the whole Maurepas basin on steroids
I would really like to know why it took this so long to get done because I’ve been saying for years that we have been losing our land and swamp life for a while now and it’s part of our heritage
Well there goes the little bit of dry land they have on the wma for hunting ! It does need to be done but this is for the fisherman in mine . Deer hunters get ready to hunt elsewhere bc the wma will stay flooded way to deep to walk and hunt
No matter what people do someone will complain! Seems like you just want the swamp to die! You still mad y’all lost y’all camp! Maybe you and Ricky can ride around and shot deer out y’all godevil more then y’all do now!
Huh u got me wrong I don’t have nor never had a camp in that swamp Nor was I complaining I was just stating all that hunt there will more than likely not be able to bc it will be much deeper in there than it is now
Flood the swamp That deep permanently also where will all the deer go ? You talking about hundreds maybe even thousands of deer displaced no food for as the swamp dieing man the earth is dieing a lil each day. There are way more important things than a swamp to worry about fixing one like the roads and bridges that are way out of compliance. I could go on and on but whatever. Point is they are fixing one problem by hurting other animals. So it not a good plan until u can fix it without hurting something else
new river, bayou conway, mississippi bayou should be siphoning from the mississippi river & dont forget that the amite feeds fresh water by way of diversion (at certainn level) to lower blind river, upper lae area, why not fix what we broke years back !!! dont need to spend all that money on a canal !!! put money to use somewhere else
Love me some Chris Macaluso!
Where we at with progress on this?

Well if the added nutrients allows vegetation that ducks like to grow more it might hold ducks better.

@@bobbyjarreau5735they will kill animals to save a tree
I think they running a little late have not seen nothing yet
What are they going to do about the invasive water plants? It's no secret that when the water hyacinth showed up, the ducks disappeared
