Been watching you videos lately, I’ve been active duty for 3 years and switching to 88M now, the army version of a truck driver and using chains and binders has been my favorite part of training so far.
Nice video and I like how thorough you are with your loads. I noticed that you hooked your straps to the guard railing, which might cause you problems with the DOT because the railing isn’t rated and is meant to protect your tie downs when you get swiped/ hit. DOT would count it as zero tie down.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but any Trooper worth their weight would shut you down for Failure to Restrain Load Properly under FMCSA Regulations. Any unit with articulation must either have the safety pin engaged, or chained on both sides to prevent unit from turning. Excellent tie down on partial since items not touching each other are not considered tied down, you ran straps through and back outside, good job on them.
maybe next time your tarp falls in a similar situation, you can hook one end of your strap to your bed railings and other end around the tarp and rachet up.
No I’m good where I’m at..they look like a good company I don’t know anything about them..I think it might be ok place to go they are a Flatbed Company
Randee Lewis Thanks for the reply was just interested in your thoughts since you have experience in flat bed. Glad you're happy where you are, enjoy your vids stay safe driver.
Are you running company with this outfit or owner operator 100%? Is there a good Flatbed trainer you recommend at prime? I ran reefer but would like to do the training in flatbed there. Thanks!
No their forks wouldn’t have reach over the piece and been able to do that but if I wouldn’t have been able to get it I might would’ve tried something like that
Randee sure hauls a lot of military equipment. If the gov. is operating like they usually do he’s getting at least $30 per mile. #FederalSpendingWhatMeWorry

How much a mile does it pay
Yo Randee, are you gonna make a vid on how your Trk/Trl is setup.. ie equipment etc?

I am running a flatbed trailer. I have been thinking of getting a step-deck trailer would you recommend it?
Yes opens up load possibilities
Are you running company with this outfit or owner operator 100%? Is there a good Flatbed trainer you recommend at prime? I ran reefer but would like to do the training in flatbed there. Thanks!
Yeah I was company driver and sorry I don’t know any flatbed trainers there anymore but good luck n go for it i went thru the boot camp
Those guys with forklift couldn't help you with the tarp?
I didn’t ask because it was inside and they wouldn’t get in I just knew it
Randee Lewis I meant you strap it up & they lift it out with forks. Oh well, saved you a gym work out, lol. Take care.
No their forks wouldn’t have reach over the piece and been able to do that but if I wouldn’t have been able to get it I might would’ve tried something like that
Can you haul a freightliner flat top cascadia on that?
Nice load Randee!, what is your empty weight of your truck and trailer?
Around 30,000 to 31
Are you booking your own loads?
No I’m company
You also look like you could be Denzel washington son...
Randee sure hauls a lot of military equipment. If the gov. is operating like they usually do he’s getting at least $30 per mile. #FederalSpendingWhatMeWorry
You need to invest in some lighter tarts
Naw don’t need lighter ones I want them to support what I’m covering and not get tore
Get yourself to the gym son- lol!
