The Beam paints seem beautiful and easy to work with and very blendable too. I once went to the Manitoulin Island along with the Mackinac Island which is very close (only horses and bicycles are allowed on this island!) where is the magnificent Grand Hotel (the one in the lovely movie “Somewhere in time” with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve), a dream come true for me! Thank you also for sharing a beautiful book!🤩🌬️✨💕
Ow W🤩W! That Sounds Magical! Only horses and bicycles! I’d love to ride a horse along a beach one day! {probably should just learn to ride a horse first lol} Thankyou for Sharing that beautiful memory with us! 🥳💝🎠🦄
Thank you for sharing that beautiful book! I’ve just made my 3rd order to Beam Paints. I’m enjoying them, especially the shimmers. They have a special touch.
You’re welcome! Im so glad you’re all loving the books! There is such a wealth in just a few turn of the page which is so exciting! Yay to your 3rd order! It’s so nice to see a collection grow isn’t it! 🤗💫🎨💝
Aww Thankyou So! The funny thing is that a lot of people go looking for a style, but I just couldn’t do things any other way 🤷♀️ it’s really just a collection of all my favorite things! 😅 I think that’s probably the magic of it, just find what you love and it will come very naturally! Have a wonderful weekend! 🤗💫💝
I was so excited to see your swatching on the Beam paints. I had bought some when you first mentioned them last year and I was thrilled that they are made in my province! No overseas fees and delays and outrageous shipping plus they are now my favourite paints. I bought several more and they get better and better. One of the most fun is Wet Grizzly- for branches and trees because of the subtle shimmer and my all time favourite is Wild Salmon but I don’t want to knock Dreamer’s Gold off its pedestal either. You have shown me an entirely different way of looking at any object or landscape or even a shoe! It really truly is about the poetry of colour so I thank you so so much! Wanda
I love this! yay to shopping local! ooh wet grizzly does look amazing & is on my wishlist! when I was making this palette since I already had dreamers gold I thought cub brown would be more versatile as I could mix them together to create a similar color, but I’m so glad you love them! they are a real treat aren’t they! dear thoughts ✨💕
Beautiful colors, and I really love your painting it's so pretty. A very inspiring book!! Thank you for another gorgeous view of your land and sky there, the section of the drive and luscious green and steps with the sun reflecting on the wet stone would be a beautiful painting!
That’s wonderful! Once you have the primaries, you can start to add colors that make your heart sing! {or a few gorgeous neutrals are always also a good idea!} it’s so exciting to see a collection grow! Have a wonderful week!
Another beautiful lesson. Thank you so much. I enjoy seeing you use your china. It's so beautiful. This I think is a silly question, but you can't use it again for food right? Anyway what a lovely thing to use for a palette.
Thankyou So! no that’s a great question! yes I generally dedicate certain pieces to watercolor specifically but since watercolor is a pretty safe medium I think dish soap should clean things enough to use for food again, especially if you’re just trying it out. if you’re wanting to use it long term then I’d probably dedicate it as a studio palette but every time I’ve washed mine they seem very clean so I think it would be fine. 🧁💕
Hey girl! Would you be so kind to tell me where did you purchase that pink metal box? I’m searching for one like this 36 half godets. Is there anyway to put on the godets so they don’t move using that kind of metal security accessory for godets? I’ve a 16 Fome but they move a lot unless I put something, the common size for half godets move at the same time if I want to fill the empty space in the middle the half godets became hard to put in and I’ve to put off those security metal clips
Hi! I got it from Etsy if you look under the video where i swatch that palette, I think it’s called Favorites palette, there should be a link under there somewhere.. . Maybe try magnets? Good luck! The fome half pans are beautiful!
Thankyou So! I’ll do a more in depth video explaining the name change and everything but basically I’ve just been feeling like the channel needed a more art based name. And I think that explains in a few words a lot of what this channel is about, finding the poetry of color and thinking more about how color affects your art.. . A lot of ppl have messaged saying how much they loved the old name which I didn’t realize, and so I’ll keep that name and use it maybe in a book one day or something, I’d like to write some books eventually but we’ll see how it goes! 🤗💫🎨💝

Lovely video…all of them really are. I contacted a book maker today to order one of your suggested sketchbooks.

My favorite paints to use
They’re wonderful aren’t they! 🎨💫
I have a set of primary colors from Beam and just love how they mix up… want to get some more to include in my palette…

Beautiful as always...question...why the name change from "billowing heart " to poetry of color"? I also have a collection of Beam paints. Love them❤
