For catfish bait try chicken liver is very good for catfish. Also try mash bait wich is just kool aid powder, caned corn and bread crumbs. Also mexicans eat chicken necks rosted.

Watching this as someone who has caught literally thousands of catfish, even winning a few tournaments over the years, I was cringing
watching your "techniques" on making catfish baits. The ingredients was actually very good choices, that I knew would work, but it not the way I would do it. Here are the five ingredients I would use: flour, any type of chicken products, strawberry Koolaid, garlic juice, and vanilla extract. However for doing it MY WAY, you would need a blender. Put all these ingredients into the blender and liquify it. Then you would mix it in the flour, until it has the texture of chewed gum.
In the wintertime, I would go with a weight instead of a bobber, for catfish are normally on the bottom when the water is cold. I would us a Carolina rig, with a TREBLE HOOK,which for me is the best hook for dough baits. I mean Norm's method worked, so you can't argue with that, however MY method would work best, I would bet money on it. So, it just so happen to live in Alabama, just saying if any of you are up to the challenge, let me know. Btw, GREAT blue catfish Norm! Lojo does have some nice catfish in that pond.

Raw chicken breast (or thigh), thoroughly covered with cherry (or strawberry) kool aid powder. Best catfish bait around.
If you are using a circle hook, just reel into it. Anything else, set the hook like you mean it.
I woulda went: chicken liver, vegetable oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, and salt. Put it in the ziploc and let it soak. This video was hilarious. I love the random rambling Yakpak gets into. He commits. So funny

Livers and gizzards , hotdogs in strawberry jello with garlic powder mixed into the jello . You mix the jello and chip your hotdogs up and mix them into the jello then let it set up . Some people say catfish will eat soap 🧼

Garlic powder works good use jello as glue to bind it to chicken or hotdog/sausage
Bread rolled up in tight balls work really good for catfish as well
I heard if you do that and soak it in bacon grease they really love it but haven’t tried it yet myself.

Yooooo! Out where I used to do a lot of catfishing, raw chicken soaked in anise extract. Worked great! Caught channels and blues on it! And blues get massive!! Y’all think those channels are huge? Ontario the best bait to use for catfish is Oates brine shrimp Limburger cheese and shredded cheddar cheese that will tear the catfish up

Live bait ( Gold fish , Blue Gill, Creek Chub, Shad ) best for Flat heads. Cut bait best for channels . Blues will eat either! Just some tips. Kahle Hooks with snell knot. 40lb + line and a bigger rod reel set up. That will put you on some bigger ones! Also make sure your reel has a bait clicker with Kahle hooks.

Chicken liver is the best catfish bait. Old timers taught me to use pantyhose to make like a little teabag so the fish can't just take your bait. Works great.
