As someone who fishes primarily for crappie and catfish you guys are hilarious when it comes to fishing outside of bass. Those baits weren't even close to gross lol.
Chunked hot dogs marinated in whole ground up fish for about 36 hours was a concoction of mine. It worked but it's just too damn messy and live creek chubs are plentiful and free (with a very small time and gas investment)
That stuff is decent but there are far better options which can bring in these heavy cats quickly. It's funny how I know this even though I have never targeted them. Speared many times but never fished.
@@freshandsaltyjohnny obviously there are plenty of baits that work but that combo all together out in the sun for a bit will be one of the stinkiest baits you’ll ever use. Only other bait I’ve found to work as good is some good old cut bait. But also depends on the kitty cat you’re going for a live fish also does great.

For my catfish bait I use sardine juice, chicken liver blood and all in the bag and hotdogs. Either dip bait a hotdog in there or chicken breast, or grab gloves and fish a hotdog or liver out
Should do this challenge again, but put your bait on some double hook jugs and let ‘em sit overnight. Maybe even use a blender so your nasty fish, bacon, chicken mix would be like a paste you could form around your hooks

No clue why companies try to sell pink salmon. I live in Washington where those fish run. We keep them for the eggs to catch tasty salmon and then throw them in the smoker after a long heavy brine.

They say the best crap for catching a cat fish is extremely nasty gross and even down right disgusting. Chicken liver with fresh garlic and anchovies left in the sun for a while will work the best. Good luck!!
Hey Norm! Here is a little tip from Germany: First mix the Catfish chum with water so you geht some kind of dough and THEN throw ist in the water... I bet this would have worked waaaaaay better 😉😅 Also try Dog Biscuits as a Bait... Catfish and Carp will love it!!!

Garlic, skunk beer, and the water from canned corn mixed with chicken liver or hotdogs are what I found to work best when making a catfish bait
