Hello, I don’t usually comment on things, but, my husband said that’s how he felt about me after we heard it for the first time. I’m sitting here in tears because this is my first time hearing it since he passed this January. So he did spend the rest of his life with me after all. Thank you for playing it, we love the song. I really like your channel.
Amazed was released in March of 1999. My husband and I started dating on April 25th 1999. He wasn't a fan of country music, then or now. But he somehow stumbled upon this song and played it for me. It became our song. His uncle, may he rest in peace, sang it for us at our wedding. It is the ringtone when my husband calls me. 23yrs later, and it is still OUR song!
This song was so popular in 1999 that it held both the #1 spot on the Country Charts as well as #1 on the US Billboard Top 100 (Popular General Radio Music) in the SAME WEEK. At the time, that was the first time that that had ever happened before for a country music band. It was a MASSIVE Crossover hit for Lonestar & still their biggest song ever.
I saw Lonestar in concert in 1995 as part of Philadelphia's ONLY country music radio station 92.5 WXTU Anniversary Show Concert. In 1999 I met the woman who was to be my wife, she wasn't into country music. I slowly introduced her to country music. Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, among others including Lonestar. Lonestar's "Amazed" became our song. When we married 5yrs later, long after the boom popularity of the song, "Amazed" was our 1st dance wedding song.
My daughter sang this at my wedding. Brought the house down! Old folks home where I worked paid for my wedding and they were thrilled with my daughter and the wedding !
I love this song so much & was lucky enough to hear it live at their concert this past Saturday. Drew sounds as good as ever & this song actually was better live. I guess after years of practice, he is even smoother. They have a sweet one called 'Front porch lookin' in' which is great & 'I'm already there' will make you cry. Then they have a very cute one called 'Mister Mom'. So fun. Great band & I was thrilled to see they were still touring.
If you're looking for a country sounding group check out Alabama. Starting in the late 70's through to the early 2000's they were the group to beat. High cotton roll on eighteen wheelers are well known by them. George strait and Conway twitty are legends in country
I can not wait for him to fall down the rabbit hole of George Strait. If I thought any reactor would actually do it they should Just go down the list of every number one that hes ever had.
"Riding With Private Malone" by David Ball? Yes, I plan to request this every video until you do it. Persistence pays off so I plan to persist! Lmao. You're just awesome dude. I look forward to your reactions, WHICHEVER song it is. I smile when I see the notifications come up.
On your country exploration, make some time for Charlie Pride. He’s an all time great with multiple American Music Awards, multiple Grammy awards, and a member of the County Music Hall of Fame. Sadly, we lost him to COVID last year. I’d recommend Kiss an Angel Good-morning, Roll on Mississippi, or Is Anybody Going to San Antone. You won’t be disappointed…
For the life of me, I can't quite put my finger on why I love your reactions so much, but you have become my favorite reaction channel and I hope you continue to grow it. Part of it is that a guy from across the pond - where country music isn't a huge genre as far as I know- has so much love and respect for something so American is just a wonderful thing that I respect and appreciate. You also are a sharp guy, You almost always figure out the meaning of a song and get the story pretty quick. I get so frustrated seeing many reactors just completely miss or misunderstand a song and its meaning. Certainly that can happen to any of us from time to time, but many reactors seem clueless way too often! You, on the other hand, seem intelligent and quick witted enough to understand and catch onto almost every single song I've seen you review! You also seem pretty knowlegeable about American things, which is neat. Keep it up.
My husband says he thinks of me every time he hears this song. You see my husband was always in trouble with the law, in and out of jail and into the meth, and he had just lost his mom to cancer, going through a divorce, so yeah he was going through some bad times. Then we met at the bar one night but we knew each other back in middle school. But any way every since we met we have been inseparable. 25 years later we are still together. And every since our first date he decided to change his life for the good. He has been jail free and drug free 25 years now. I love that man he is my soul mate 😍
Instead of the Wedding March...I used this song to walk down the aisle to my husband (we had already gotten married at the courthouse) and our friends wanted us to have a church wedding so we did. Not a dry eye in the place by the time I got to his side! So many memories...we just celebrated our 21st Wedding Anniversary on the 8th of August 2021.
First time I heard this song on the radio I told myself this would be my wedding song. Sure enough it was indeed my wedding song. I told my wife she can have the wedding however she wants it, as long as I pick the song lol.
Just found you today. Seriously enjoying your reactions. This is music I’ve known for years and your sincere appreciation is refreshing. Love watching your face. Your emotions are all over it. Beautiful, beautiful, powerful song.
Loved your reaction! I actually got the chills right at the same point where you stopped. I had the pleasure of first learning this song to sing at my sister’s wedding and have sung it many times since. Great song, great video. Cheers!
This wasn't our first song but .. he makes it feel like it is, because I don't care where I am or what I'm doing he will come find me to dance to this song. We were in the middle of the grocery store, this song came on he grabbed me and we were dancing in the grocery isle. Lol
My mom and dads wedding song.❤️ I'm sure it was a lot of peoples wedding song back in the day lol.🤗 Edit: I just saw the part of your reaction that asked about it being everyone's wedding song haha.
I am really enjoying your reactions man! Keep going on your country music journey but do more of the classic legends to see how country music started and where we are today. Waylon and Willie, definitely some George Jones, Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, Don Williams just to name a few. You’re a cool dude my guy!
My wedding song was “Walk through this world with me” by George Jones …. I wanted “Battle Hymn of Love” by Kathy Matea but it had just come out and couldn’t find the sheet music yet. The most popular 80”s wedding songs were “Forever and Ever Amen” by Randy Travis and “Could I have this Dance” by Anne Murray ….. All worth a listen
Some great musicians and singers have come out of Lubbock Tx area. Buddy Holly, Mac Davis, The Maines Family, Waylon(Littlefield), Ritchie McDonald, and the list goes on.
Ooo you got chicken skin.. lol it touched you soul.. they are good. I truly enjoy watching your reactions. I grew up with many of these songs. You joy rekindles my love for music. Most all music. Thank you sir
The one song I listened to over and over after my husband passed away was One More Day, by Diamond Rio. Please add this to your list. It's an amazing song, kind of in the same vein as Garth Brooks the Dance.
Yes, this was my first dance song. We love Lonestar. Our second choice was also by Lonestar, "Little Moments" and i strongly suggest you listen to that song as well.
You should listen to “I Know How The River Feels” by Diamond Rio. Beautiful song. It was the song my late husband and I had our first dance to back in 1999.
Lead singer Richie McDonald left to go solo and they replaced him but he later came back and then left again, so that probably did not help when often the lead singer is the main focus or any band.
Here’s a fun one for you it’s Toby Keith and songwriter Scotty Emerick singing a song called Weed With Willie it’ also has Willie Nelson in the video, Find the video that says USA in the lower right corner.
If that's the most country sounding group name I'm guessing that you have not heard of Alabama or the Statler brothers or the Dixie Chicks even though they dropped the dixie.
I’ve always loved this song, but watching your face while listening to it brought me to tears.❤️❤️🐝🤗
Me too...omg 🤩
@@deborahlewis656 ❤️
me too! Such a gorgeous song
To answer the question of the love song...yep!
“I’m Already There (Message from Home) is another great huge song from Lonestar. Beautiful song
This was my daughter’s first dance when she got married.
Another great Lonestar song is: My Front Porch lookin In
Hello, I don’t usually comment on things, but, my husband said that’s how he felt about me after we heard it for the first time. I really like your channel.
My son and his wife danced to this at their wedding in 2005, and they’re not even Country fans. They’re still joined at the hip. Love the song!
Amazed was released in March of 1999. My husband and I started dating on April 25th 1999. He wasn't a fan of country music, then or now. But he somehow stumbled upon this song and played it for me. From your expressions, you will understand that this was a big crossover hit for these guys. Everyone loved this!
I'm already there was one of my favorites by them but I also got a kick out of their song Mr. Mom. If you want a laugh that's the one to check out
This song was so popular in 1999 that it held both the #1 spot on the Country Charts as well as #1 on the US Billboard Top 100 (Popular General Radio Music) in the SAME WEEK. Lonestar Mr Mom I think you'll love it! Awesome reaction man!
I'm from Texas, "The Lone Star State" so yeah, that's about right, being super country. 😅😅😅
My daughter sang this at my wedding. Brought the house down! Old folks home where I worked paid for my wedding and they were thrilled with my daughter and the wedding !

Lonestar had so many hits as well. I love this song and I'm Already There, plus Tequila Talking. So much to choose from with these guys
I think you’d love One More Day by Diamond Rio.
I love Lone star and I loved your reaction!!! 👍

i love Alabama
Give the band perry a listen the song if I die young
Lonestar is an amazing group I understand the chill bumps. You can't go wrong by digging into them deeper
Rosanne Cash, Johnny’s daughter, had a big hit with Tennessee Flat Top Box, not realizing her father also had a big hit with this song in 1961.
"Riding With Private Malone" by David Ball? Yes, I plan to request this every video until you do it. Persistence pays off so I plan to persist! Lmao. You're just awesome dude. I look forward to your reactions, WHICHEVER song it is. I smile when I see the notifications come up.

You won’t be disappointed…
Home Free just dropped a cover of this son and it’s “amazing”.
I danced many a nights with my old man to this song. Woah. Took me way back. Ahhhhh your reaction. Its just so freaking sweet, lucky lady.
Oh yes! I heard it it at so many weddings! If it wasn't "thee" wedding song, then it was played soon after. It was #1 on the charts for a while.
This was a big hit for them in the UK in 1999 and I even remember them performing it on Top of the Pops.
I saw Lonestar preform live a few years ago, such a great show and this is their signature tune.
This was our first dance as husband and wife song 🤣🥰 February 12 2000

Another beautiful love song video is Gary Allan's The One....that video just gives me chills. Love your reactions!!

This was my wedding song. It was the first dance I ever had with my husband when he was my boyfriend. We married in 2003 and still married.
You can't do this journey without listening to The King of Country, George Strait. You won't regret it, I promise.
Yup that would be like listening to eighties music and not listening to Michael Jackson or Madonna.
Just found you today, love your reactions... I've been binge watching instead of cleaning the house LOL. Keep it up please!
Thank you!! I’m glad I provided you with an excuse to sit down and ignore the house work!! It is the weekend after all! 🤣
Excellent song.Played at many weddings

Yes, I highly recommend I'm Already There. It's a great song. Sadly lead singer Richie McDonald has left the group to work with another one. Very sad.
Smile is a good one as well. I love these guys.
No News is by far my favorite Lonestar song.
Country has the best love songs!
My mom and dads wedding song.❤️ I'm sure it was a lot of peoples wedding song back in the day lol.🤗 Edit: I just saw the part of your reaction that asked about it being everyone's wedding song haha.

Now that you’re starting to delve into groups you’re going to need to listen to Alabama.
I met them the day this song hit #1. Ritchie is kind & even more beautiful in person & their performance was as great in person as the recording! 😍
Omg. Nostalgia. This was the theme to one of the girl's choice dances in high school! 😂
Another awesome Lonestar song to react to is “Smile”
My wedding song was “Walk through this world with me” by George Jones …. I wanted “Battle Hymn of Love” by Kathy Matea but it had just come out and couldn’t find the sheet music yet. Alabama angels among us. Is an amazing song
Can't beat country for storytelling. Just about the only genre for romance too these days.
The one song I listened to over and over after my husband passed away was One More Day, by Diamond Rio. Please add this to your list. It's an amazing song, kind of in the same vein as Garth Brooks the Dance.
Other great ones from them. I'm already there, Mr. Mom, and Front Porch Looking In.

That was our wedding song in 2013, there I said it 😉
Yes, this was my first dance song.
This is one of those bands that fell to the wayside that shouldn't have. This was almost my wife and I's wedding song
Lead singer Richie McDonald left to go solo and they replaced him but he later came back and then left again, so that probably did not help when often the lead singer is the main focus or any band.
Ok yes awesome song. Now go find I'm already There by Lonestar. It will blow you away. Won't regret it ever.
You should react to "The Chain of Love" Clay Walker. It's a song about an act of kindness coming back to you
Newsong christmas shoes will make u tear up
I think you should react to the all time greatest country song He Stopped Loving Her Today by George Jones.
A very funny music video by Lonestar “Mr. Mom” (Official Music Video).
If you liked this, you should try "Already There"...it's by Lonestar as well.
Mr.Mom or No News, both by Lonestar
I recommend I' m A Survivor by Reba McEntire
