Lee I was going to tag you in it mate as I thought of you straight away. Glad you have power now. Clear coat is probably the best soloution. Sorry to hear you have had similar problems. It is the wet but humid weather.

It wasn't just the unpainted stuff the whole layout was moldy 😢. It should be okay. I plan to clear coat it all in the summer. Luckily I picked up on it early.
Not sure how it would look with PVA, I will clear coat mine once painted. It seems like the weather is mainly to blame. My chest of draws in my bedroom have also been affected so not just exclusive to damp garages!

Nice info pal, mine seem to have faired through the winter, I'll always prime the buildings before painting, I think that's what worked for me 👍🏻

Yes all sorted now 🙂. It seems like even in the house we have been having issues on any wooden items. I think it is the mild and damp winter.
