I had a Year 9 disco and we all suggested really explicit songs and my crazy Head of Year got really angry so he put on Mamma Mia........ honestly it was better than anything else!!! 🤣🤣

EDIT: I know what you mean about the assignments starting - I got that feeling when I started IB2 in September. Basically Cambridge is not one university. Cambridge is made up of many universities which all focus on different things. Only a few unis do this btw so dont worry about that :P

I study civil engineering and from day 1, for our 6 subjects per semester, we only had a few books that we needed and everything else was about being present and taking notes (on paper of course, zero laptops here). It's not that there're no resources, but the workload is so massive, that everybody end up staying from the previous year's tests and exams.
Er - am somewhat confused. Are all Cambridge students allowed to gatecrash Freshers Week events, or just those that are college parents ? Anyway it looked like you had loads of fun - more than when you were a ‘genuine’ fresher... Good luck with your new year.

Hudge difference to studying at my university 😂 noone has a laptop in your lectures 🙈 you won’t find one person without a laptop in my lectures
For lecture notes 🙈 we have paperfree studies so we don’t get printables everythings online and you comment it with adobe or other programms

I wish we could use papaerbased lectures, but with over 500 pages per day and 5 days of lectures it’s just a paper load you can’t print.
