Give that drummer some--the way she ghosts that rimshot back beat! The beauty of surf is in the tone and simplicity. Her cross-sticking is tasteful "comping," adding layering but letting the lead float on top. Propulsive bass helps. Great band!
Love it . . great job. And I love the Fender Strat in Oly white with the rosewood neck and mint green pick guard. . my favorite look for a Strat. I have an 87 made in the Corona Ca factory. . bought it new in 87 in black. . . that I recently refinished the same.

Great little medley, but you lead the drummer right into the solo for "Casbah" (coming out of Miserlou) and it was tough to listen to when you guys went another way instead. Still, really good performance. You guys are alright. -b

I think they did it their own way...How they felt it. It was original in certain spots and very tasty. And, you might need a better audio system... They sounded really good. The drums sounded very good from where I sat.... and I am a drummer. Her drums sounded better than most of these surf groups I have been listening to tonight. It surprised me how good she tunes them. The bass was melodic and supportive... The recording was just very well made. The engineer should be given credit.

agree, as a former drumer, she is perfect. considering the was made when her mother was a child.
