Cool Video ! There are Sprays on the market for the windscreen the scren dont get foggy ! When I see the speed and the Watt , Ithink there is not much diffrence between a Velomobile and a Streamliner with 2 wheels...
Fogging windscreens is a fair battle for HPV's in Australia. There's all sorts of methods used to stop fogging. Small holes drilled, a vent flowing up the inside of the screen, LARGE holes in the windscreen as well as shampoo and specialty anti fog treatments. Racing by feel looked like a challenge.
I was having similar problems in the 90 minute race. The screen in Notso was fine, in as much as you can see out of it in the first place, but as soon as I got enough confidence to consistently put out any real power my glasses with prescription inserts fogged up like I was stopped at traffic lights at the top of a hill on a cold winter morning. Ended up squinting through the bottom corner of the lens on one eye.
I only wear contact lens whilst racing - glasses would steam up on the first lap! At least there's very little chance of any track debris being flicked up inside the shell, especially with the front wheel covered
Rain-X Make an Anti-Fog product, you can pick it up at any halfords for like a fiver. Just clean the inside of the perspex, then put some anti-fog on a clean cloth and apply it, after 5 mins apply a 2nd coat, after 5 more mins buff it lightly with another slightly damp cloth. This will last months and prevent fogging up almost entirely. I use it on my car, it works really well.
You were giving Slash more of a challenge than in previous races! I notice that he brakes quite early into turns. He has small drum brakes on each wheel, whereas you have I think a 150mm cable operated disk only on the front? It's possible that you could carry more speed closer into the turn and outbrake him, giving you a tactical advantage; if you can't now, adding a rear brake would give you more braking. What is the radius of that bottom corner? It looks exceedingly tight!
My window fogged up in BM doing about 40mph. I couldn't decide if I should slow down to reduce breathing or speed up to increase air flow. It was pretty sketchy
Wow! Maybe the camera gives a false view but that looks far too dangerous. One mis-look and it could have been serious for you or someone else? TBH I would have bailed on it. Anti-Fogging preps are available. ;-)

You were very competitive in this race, and it looked like you had a real chance if it hadn't been for the fogging.

I have an idea, might be okay comfort wise. Take a hardware store respirator, take the filters out and rig up a hose that goes to the back.

You can do little window in window
