45min race with the BHPC at Cyclopark in Gravesend, Kent, UK. My first BHPC victory, although it felt a bit hollow as Slash wasn't there to race against. My main competitors in this race were Jochen Farwer on his M5 lowracer, and David L'Hostis on his new Slyway Ultra high racer.

2nd race in new streamliner Woodstock, at the cycle track at Ennerdale Leisure centre in Hull. Lots to tweak, the main thing being to get rid of the tubeless tyres and go back to SV6A tubes so the bl00dy things seat correctly and are round, not lumpy. Results: SLADE, Steve - Beano - 29.93mph BRIDGE, Russell - Woodstock - 29.11mph WAKEFIELD, Lee - Snoek - 28.18mph GREED, John - Aquilla 3 - 27.17...

I always envy how it's usually other country always has interesting stuff like this. Like why adult in my country don't want to make this mainstream.. Why??
Reminds me of tron
We need these vehicles and tracks going into cities.
Is there anyway to fair the balancing wheel cutouts?
nice gear ....how many 82T ???
Forgive my lack of understanding but does the pedaling generate electricity that is put into a motor that turns the wheels or is the rider just pedaling and turning the wheels directly. I'm guessing it's the former because of the watt stat listed on the screen, but I just want to clarify. Thanks!
It's a direct drive chain to the front wheel. I've got pedals in the bike which measure how much power (in Watts) the rider is generating.
Where is fresh air for sportsman's?
Why was the speedometer so static, not rising up even when he was leaving everyone in the dust
Wow! The energy generated can charge an iPhone 10 times!
The chain would cause severe chafing.
Imagine if you fart in this. You could die
Deutschlehrer aufn weg zu arbeit
You could ask your local body shop next time. They might have some advice for you.
I'd be interested to see the effects of a tuft test before and after polishing. I wouldn't be overly surprised if the rear half of the bike benefited from the orange peel keeping the flow attached as long as possible. Have you ever tried any roll down tests or similar to experiment with getting the lowest rolling resistance tyre and rim width combo?
impressive work, would be interesing to try out whether all monocoque construction, over internal frame and non structural shell or hybrid would help trim the weight, watching this machine on the track it certainly munches up other HPV's. Thanks for posting
Wow! The only thing missing is the soundtrack "Dance with the Dead - Go" to play in the background.😅
I'd go with 1000 in small sections until you finish the whole thing, and then repeat with 3000. Both times I'd be looking closely to make sure the orange peel is gone, but not so deep as to go through the paint. Between the 1000 and 3000, use several damp cloths to remove the residue. Finally, I would apply a thick coat of Collinite Fleetwax 885 by hand to one side, let it dry for about 3-5 minutes in the shade on a sunny day. Then remove it with a clean golf towel. Do the other side the same. While removing the wax look at the surface very closely to see if there is still any orange peel. If not, then you can apply another coat a few hours later, or even another day later. Make sure you dust off 77 before each coat. After the 3rd coat or so, it will become very easy to remove the dried wax from each coat. I'd do about 5-7 coats now, and then, another 5-7 coats before your first run at BM. After the 3rd coat, your golf towel should easily slide off 77 when you lay it on there. I cleaned a 50' Pacific yacht in Hawaii with a fiberglass boat cleaner, and put 17 coats of wax on it (1 per day) by hand when it was in drydock. It was so shiny that by the 5th coat birds started flying into the side of it. By the time I was done 5 birds had hit the side of the boat.
I've been interested in this sort of stuff for a while now, seeing how you've solved several problems here will definitely help me form up a more practical everyday use design
хрень какая то
This is how the flinstones thought cars would be in the future
Im not sure how to explain this, but this thing looks fun to crash going full speed down a runway or some other open space
Carbon fibre boopadoop
Now that looks like fun. 😀 I've never had the chance to go around a velodrome, I'd love to see my top speed on my mountain bike. 🤔
The thingamajigs race
Those pedaling around on open machines just in shorts at those speeds are brave.
The sound is hypnotic.
It probably would go faster if the temperature were lower.

Too dirty glasses
I got unreasonably mad at missing drafting turbulent air
But watched more.
And missing apex’s was a crucial early error. Follow your line. Not the leader.
not only is it an amazing little bit of engineering and fitness, its genuinely good racing. Very cool indeed.
boring
Does anyone know the Kw being used when the TdF was cruising at 35mph? The data is probably out there...
Pretty sure a Tour de France Cyclist on his bicycle would beat any of these? Pedalling leaning back is about 5% (roughly) less efficient than leaning forward in terms of Kw a human can sustain. The improved aero of recumbent bikes never makes up for the loss of power and extra weight.
I love it! Fantastic engineering and application thereof
Yea but how fast can these things actually go. I want to see the limits of human powered vehicles
th-cam.com/video/txRBk13VzZc/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared 89mph is the current world record
@@russellbridge Whew hey, that isn't even bad. I wonder why there isn't more development around these things. Zero emmissions, could probably be fairly cheap and through the use of a battery and electronic equipment it could turn into proper means of transportation for people tight on money.
lol wtf
У меня жена на машине медленнее ездит )
This is like to be in a jet fighter cockpit.
35mph at 200 watts😱 I put out way more for a lot less on my road bike. Wind resistance is the difference I guess? That’s impressive
is it has air conditioning ?
ga capek ya 1 jamm?
Nice view from cockpit. Also canopy makes minimum drag ride
Если поставить туда мотор получится веселый агрегат
40 mph it's a 64.4 kmph!!! Damn!!! How it possible?
Didn't know the bicycle+ dlc existed
Чё за хуйня? Где магнитола?
Would like to see Pogacar in this vehicle ;-)
why do you need tight leggins in closed cabin?
this 1 hour....the top speed only is 68-77mph!!! for about 30 sec- 1 minute
