- Me and @AlmostHomestead headed out to our final hike of my visit.
We did ALOT in 2 weeks and tonight I have to get all my stuff together to leave. It was nice to not drive for 2 weeks. My legs have put in alot of miles though.
This is Mt. Persus around Index Washington.
Its only 4 Miles but it is straight up and and down. Take your time and its not too bad.
We ran into a pond the water was beautiful clear water but we filtered it with Jays water filter bag.
We didnt get much for views until we were almost to the peak. It was rough grabbing onto tree roots and loose rock. We lost the trail a couple of times. Which isnt hard to do when trees fall across the trail and people start making their own.
We finally got near the top and got some views but I wanted to get to the actual top and sit down and have a snack.
We took some photos and lost our breath looking over the shear rock wall and then we headed back down. It was easier then climbing but not much. If you notice the mountain peaks are the opposite side of when we went to Lake Serene.
Pizza was in the near future now.
Gin made up some dough and we had fun stretching it to size.
After that we loaded it up with toppings.
And Jay got it into the oven.
We sat together and ate pizza and talked about life. It was nice.
