- In this week's episode, join me as I do a little camping in my vintage truck camper, as well as hike the epic Enchantments hike in Washington. I've wanted to do this hike for quite some time so it's awesome that I was able to scratch it off the bucket list.
Sit back, grab a beer, grab a coffee & enjoy!

As a disabled person that is unable to walk through a grocery store I’m so happy that you took us along!
Sitting here on a Sunday evening in Bavaria, Munich. Enjoying a beer as I do while watching this awesome guy create outdoor adventures we all dream about.
Amazing! Cheers friend 🍻
Prosit!
Prost
What do you think about our silly fake Bavarian town? This year there is quite the scandal that the Leavenworth Octoberfest was moved 45 minutes down the highway to Wenatchee.
So much beauty in the USA. Makes me grateful. Thanks for sharing.
I have lived in Oregon for 43yrs. and you are showing me things I have never seen. Thank you.
Thanx Jonathan for letting us tag along on your hike! truly enjoyed 😀
Your cinematography skill set is impressive! High quality mikes and camera. Good y’all can laugh about the keys!
Ah, Mister J......you made this lil ol lady so happy watching your Leavenworth hike. My husband of 71 years (we are 90, now) had spent a lot of vacation time there....brought back many memories. My cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. I had to PAUSE so many times to fully take in the scene. I'm amazed at your abilities as a photo and videographer....you really have the eye!
Your Bigfoot is similar to our old rig...so I'm at home there, too. Looking forward to sharing your adventures before we " kick that bucket". Many, many thanks. *Recliner Babe"
Awesome scenery! Forget your lighter and the keys to Andy's car. That there was quite the adventure!
Congratulations you're nearing 100,000 subscribers. Pretty good. Also, as always, beautiful scenic video and wonderful musical accompaniment.
❤ your new camper shell, it's a KEEPER!
I have a slide on my RV, sometimes the slide is not as well insulated and allows heat and cold to come in contact with the wall that affects the interior.
Rather than paint or contact paper, I actually use carpet peel and stick carpet tiles. They work as wonderful insulators for both audio and heat/cool. They're easy to apply. If they don't stick, you can always add carpet tile glue. They have unique patterns and wonderful colors. You might consider it to fill in walls, if there's areas that you want to change.
But again, the layout of that shell is wonderful, and I would do minimal, because it's very roomy and logically designed.
Great video.
Aha! He finally popped up through the roof hatch! Just like old times 😆
Your so lucky to be doing what your doing be thankful . Awesome trip!!!
Your RV is indeed, SUPER BEAUTIFUL, both inside and out.
You really got lucky.
Jonathan, I’m sure I’ll get lost in all ur comments 😂 but it’s great to see you back again with a truck camper!! Your channel inspired me to begin my TC channel. The other videos were still really good but def happy ur back in a TC 😂 Another awesome video btw 🤙
Awesome adventure.. and 100% correct with the water in the meals .
PDX native here. I was fortunate to get into the lottery last year for the enchantments. That hike up Mt. Colchuck is SO worth it! The mountain goats, scenery, everything. Stoked to see this type of content!
What’s the lottery for?
@@Tonychin-e3w It's so popular they need to keep visitors to a minimum as to not have a negative impact on the environment. You can hike to Lake Colchuck and stay over (I think you still can) and some folks day hike the entire 18 miles. It's pretty intense to do it as a day hike. Otherwise you need the permit.
Wow beautiful location!! Leavenworth is a gorgeous little town!! I loved their home made root beer!! Your camper looks better hunkered down that when you picked it up!! Awesome video!!
YOU WILL BE MASSIVE ONE DAY! Thank you for bringing us something to look forward to every week!
Reminds me a lot of Helen Georgia. Good stuff.
walmart makes a lightweight screen that lays over your bacon fry pan. Keeping the grease splatter to a minimum. I use it all the time. Levenworth is a AWESOME little tow. We enjoy the overland rally there and try to make the lighting of the Christmas lights every couple years from Missoula. Sure enjoy your videos. Thanks for all the work putting them together.
That was worth it all. Beautiful Landscape. Bet Andrew felt totally mybad! But he saved the night with an Uber! That was a freaking merical!. Thanks for taking us along. I really like your new camper. Until next time Jonathan!👣👣👣🌴🏖️💙
Even more so that there is only ONE uber driver in Leavenworth and that he came out to the trailhead is freaking AMAZEBALLS! (But depending on when this video was made, if it was around the time of something going on in town, the nearest big city uber drivers will come up the 45 mins to Lworth to work.)
I definitely enjoyed this video. It was like watching a documentary on Netflix.
I also love your camper. So unique.
Was really hoping for a good Woo at 1:05 glad you delivered
I saw the coffee cup and said out loud "There better be a woo!"
Great hike, thanks for taking us along, your camper is awesome.
Next item on camping list. Lighter and matches, and 1 of those igniters you can get from Dollar Tree. 😉Pretty scenery.
It's part of the ten essentials! At least one of them should have had some kind of fires tarter. tsk tsk.
You should check out the Olympic peninsula! Like Kalaloch and ruby beach! It is fantastic out there and beautiful and there is a beautiful glacier lake that is so epically clear! I love going out there so many places to hike and check out and beaches
its wild seeing how much youve grown. I was watching you when you were getting like 2k views and now you have bideos with over 200! thats awesome man!
Good day Johnathan. Like your new/old camper very much. Being Canadian, I am biased. Would like to give you some support in caring for the new rig. With almost 50 years in the industry, I have been through the fibreglass RV industry in the early 70’s and learned how to maintain the fibreglass external skin. All fibreglass is subject to leakage once the gel coat has been worn off over the years. The micro sized holes in the fibreglass allow the water to seep into the interior thus resulting in moisture damage. There are several sealers that are available, however they can do more damage than good if not applied exactly as recommended. Or you can us a high quality Carnuba wax. Personally after turning a fibreglass body slightly orange using a sealer, I learned that waxing the unit in the spring and late summer stopped all the seepage, brought back the shine without turning the skin orange. I prefer to use the paste wax, but am told there are liquid Carnuba waxes thar work just as well and faster to apply. Thank you for the weekLy adventures.
Popping a tent up inside of a cave in that incredibly perfect mountain area!
There’s a theme town in the northeast Georgia mountains like that town. Helen, GA. Great video, thanks for posting it.
Hopefully the smoky air didn’t hurt too much. The vintage full shell camper is awesome, should give you years of service. Hiking poles are great, helps with knee impact and wear and tear, also important for going down hill too. Solvang is struggling with maintaining its original theme vs gentrification trends in order to attract younger tourists who will want to remain to visit and not just drive through. Beautiful hike. Love your editing and soundtrack overlay. Don’t forget your bear spray!
Love that Bigfoot camper. I purchased a 2003 Bigfoot Class C RV last year and enjoy it tremendously.
Loved the video. Thanks for taking us along. What beautiful scenery.
Those views and scenery were absolutely stunning
Did this hike many, many years ago. From the camp at Colchuck lake to the Enchantments is a spectacular part of WA state's Alpine Lakes. The golden Larches never disappoint this time of the year either. Another hike nearby you would like, with many Larches, is the Ingalls Lake hike and scramble up Ingalls peak. Well worth the effort. And thanks for the memories.
I loved the beginning 1:07 of serene music and scenery then a bird. I've watched it 3 times still laughing. Dude you're killing it these videos are great!
What a gorgeous place! Bucket list trip for sure.
Very cool trip and hike! I did think Andrew was going to get fed up with that short bed and you were going to wake up with him spooning you!! Lol!
Loved the serene sound at the beginning of this video!! Great shots too!!
I've been to Levenworth three times, I hiked to Pilchuck lake but no further. Whitewater rafting on the Wenatchee river was Awesome also ! Someone in town served Blackberry Margarita's too ! Great Video, I love your camper !!
Beauty of a trip eh!!! wish we had longer to enjoy the scenery.
Very nice well balanced rig. Back to hiking, eating and travel. Good job.
Beautiful doesnt begin to describe those views! Simply stunning
Great 📸 work. Love the new camper with short guest bed lol. You give the rest of the world a view of the NW with a bit of hot sauce✌🏾
Thanks for sharing. Be safe , especially with the smoke. I love your camper. It’s comforting to know you’re hiking with a partner. I enjoyed your video of when you picked up your camper in Canada. I have a friend that was traveling solo in the pacific north west. He left the area due to getting sick due to the smoke.
Beautiful scenery… thanks for sharing. Hugs from Arkansas.
Did this hike about the same time last year; only in reverse. Started following you for the truck camper content didn't realize you were a backpacker too. What up from a fellow truck camping Portlander.
Even if you won't customize the interior of your camper, the functionality is beyond par. Thank you for sharing a travel experience that I had not done during my youth. At least you're there to make it happened. 👌
Those views from the ground levels are awesome looking up. I've only seen mountains like that from a helicopter ride, hiking through those places much have been pure GOLDEN. Yes, a photog's MOUNTAIN DREAM.
Even more amazing when there isn't a forest fire nearby. :(
Having lost and misplaced my keys a few times, I have made it a practice to place a spare set in one of this magnetic boxes attached to somewhere discreet on the frame of my vehicles..
Fun vlog.....caping is so much better with a buddy!
what an awesome adventure thanks for sharing love to watch your vidios
Nice tip on the hot sauce Jonathan. I only have Tapatio, Cholula, and Tabasco in my house now 🤪 👍. Great scenery, we have a small German themed town here in Georgia too, named Helen. Wonderful architecture. Some very nice scenery you showed, even if it took 4 miles of incline!
Thanks so much.....AWESOME to say the least. The Enchantments...will have to remember that.
Amazing Views, FYI: Gas shot up 30cent Tuesday, to 4.05 gallon Reg, Fort Wayne Indiana. Don't know if its from the Hurricane? or what, see u next week
Oh Jonathan, breath taking!! Omgosh!!
Yes it was absolutely beautiful. I loved it. Thank you for sharing.
You have the best camping videos on TH-cam, my friend. The calmness this bring viewers like myself is unparalleled. Keep up the great work.
Hey Jonathan, your videos keep getting better. The scenery is wonderful. Thanks for taking me along on your hike. It was great. Drive safe. Keep safe. God bless🥰
Great scenery on your hike, WOWWWW !!!!!!!!
Jonathan, your videography skills in this are exceptional - you have really improved your content. Thank you for great work!
Man I’ve been subscribed since 2,000. Incredible to see how far you’ve come. Keep it up man. I’m from Sherwood Oregon and own a remote piece of property in eastern Oregon!
Right? I started following back when he was in his SUV. At the time I was looking to go on a big cross country road trip in mine and was looking for other folks doing the same.
Wow chock that that one up under amazing memories.
Thank you! That was absolutely breathtaking! I would love to visit there someday! You could probably sell some of your pictures that you took! It was that beautiful!! ❤️👍
Gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing.
Great to see you comfortable again, Jonathon! I know you still thrived in your camper shell, but you seem so much more at home in the Bigfoot. Enjoy, my man!
john best video 📹 yet loved 😍 the enchantments what a workout for you and Andrew
No means to start a fire and no vehicle keys but you didn’t forget the camp beers! Thank you for renewing our faith in the youth of today!
PS: How did you NOT wet a line in that first lake?!!
The camper fits your truck like a glove. Totally looks great! Im glad u lucked into it. Cheers from the Sunshine coast of B.C. J.
Love your new rig. It looks so good on your truck and the inside is in such good condition as far as i can tell.
Hi JY. Great video. Much enjoyed to opening segment. What an epic hike. Great scenery and thank you for sharing. As always I await your next clip.🥰🙏
Hey Jon!!!
Very beautiful mountains in Washington state!!!! (Not in D.C. lol 😅)
Anyway, you and your buddy had great hiking 🥾 on long trail. That’s very natural conservation in Washington state!!!
Be careful with cliff!!! Bring nice boots 🥾 with cliffhangers!!!
See ya next cool trips to any destinations!!! ✌️
Gorgeous place. Enjoyed that a lot. TY Jonathan👍
Hey Gm Johnathan what's going on that was a great hike I would have made a 2nd set of keys to get yourself in the truck
Beautiful, just beautiful. Great views. Great video.
The scenery is Magnificent and the Beauty in the Northwest is remarkable and no other stste can compare!
Just gorgeous, Jonathan. Excellent videography! And that you were able to get an Uber ride back to your truck is the perfect ending to this adventure.
Beautiful I’d be taking tons of photos also. Thanks for taking us along
wonderful view, thanks for sharing😊
Beautiful views thank you for sharing them ❤! Have a great week 😊
Awesome country. I’ve been to Leavenworth many times but never in the mountains. Thanks for taking us along.
One of the best . No the best video you made 😉 Beautiful scenery mixed with a touch of comedy . You and Andrew should make more videos together !
Thanks for the hike Jonathan! I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to do that myself because of my back situation, so I’m thankful for people like you who show me all the beautiful scenery. I’m hoping we can get back up to Oregon soon…I miss those trees. 🌲🌺😊
My backpacking does are over. 33 years of Nursing ended with back injury. Yet, that being g said, my RV let's me still wake up in beauty. No buildings or sounds of traffic. Get yourself an RV. Teardrop pull along is good start.
@@bethseptember8 Or throw a comfy mattress in the back of a van or SUV. Jonathan's original videos were in an SUV and at the time I was looking to do the same. I'm still camping in my SUV. It's really comfortable.
Beth I plan to as soon as possible. I’m just struggling to make ends meet at this point. I absolutely loathe it here in Tucson….dreaming of better days!
It is absolutely beautiful out there-the revived and cozy little town, and spectacular scenic views, passed the smoke! Great on accomplishing that mission on the ascending hike-definitely worth it!🏞🚶♂️🧗♂️🏔Another great way to test out the camper (with family-and with a lighter⛺🤣😂)! Breakfast looked good🥓🍳, and what a cool way to start your coffee!☕Enjoy!!⛺🗻
I envy you and your friend. That was amazing. Keep doing what your doing and thank you for taking us along.🎉
Best ever video you have made - I think
WOW... the intro video and music is spectacular, all the clips, love the mountain goats... really beautiful throughout... felt like a movie.. you are so gifted... thank you for sharing this amazing trip.. glad the hike was more than expected... and thank you for making my heart happy... God bless you and keep adventuring!!!!!
1:02 can't get any better than that. The views are magnificent 👌 You are living the life my friend ☝️
Definitely can't complain 😎 Thanks for watching!
Should always set up tent when you arrive at your spot
Great hike, I’m amazed at all the beautiful views. I like these kinds of vids, keep it up! 👍🏻
Wow!! What an adventure! So awesome! 😎
It is so good you have that unit ... bigfoot is such a good product
Very nice scenery and hiking place. Thanks for tagging us along.
Wow, that was beautiful. Glad you got ride back. Love and blessings
The northern cascades are unbelievably beautiful. We took a trip this summer and drove from the northeastern side of Washington state to the northwestern side, took a ferry and drove through olympic national park. But anyway, the northern cascades are beautiful beyond description.
Technically this area is not considered Northern Cascades. But more "Central"
I am a long time camper and now full time RVer. I love your new camper. Good choice
Loved this video! You showed me sites this east coast grandma will never see on my own!
nice scenary and video .. greeting from malaysia ..
I say that was awesome hike and the Bigfoot looks nice on your truck .
Great video very beautiful the scenery was amazing 🙏👍☀️🌠
Pour a little bit of water when frying bacon in pan and it gets it crisper..just a trick...
Bigfoot camper x Vintage Tundra =🔥
Agreeeeed
I love both, had a 2012 tundra sold it looking for a first gen👍
@@daneboro6847 ayyy yes I have an 04 tundra and it’s quite reliable.
